Guest shearfox Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Only watched the last 3 frames of the session, but Ronnie looked awesome He seemed to just change gear after falling behind... three brilliant last frames from Ronnie.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 If there's one thing you can guarantee at the snooker its that someone will be wearing a football shirt. And 9 times out of 10 it's a bloody Coventry shirt too.
foxfanazer Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Hawkins seems like a decent bloke. Making a game of this as well
Guest BlueBrett Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Barry is playing great. Big chance to be ahead going into tomorrow
isaidno Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Didn't expect this from Hawkins. Playing well and deservedly level.
kingfox Posted 5 May 2013 Author Posted 5 May 2013 If you underestimated Hawkins then your an idiot. The guy is class, and is proving his worth in this match. Double figures is the key now though, get 10 frames on the board it's been a cracking effort.
foxfanazer Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 This is insane stuff. No tight frames, just heavy scoring every frame
kingfox Posted 5 May 2013 Author Posted 5 May 2013 Ronnie playing class again, as soon as he came on here earlier he started playing well, doing the same again now One more frame left I think, 9-8 would be a good outcome for Barry.
Tevez Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Big up Barry Hawkins. Proper nice guy and had a great tournament. Got too much love for Ronnie though, would love for him to stay in the game.
Guest shearfox Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Fantastic clearance from Ronnie, was unlucky after the fluked red, didn't let it get in the way of him winning the frame though. Looks so focused and not letting anything get him down.
Guest shearfox Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Excellent from Hawkins, well done such a high standard final...
foxfanazer Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Incredible break from Ronnie! Massive respect for Hawkins for not making this the one-sided final many predicted. Whenever he looks like getting back in though Ronnie takes the next 2 or 3 frames in quick succession
Guest shearfox Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Incredible break from Ronnie! Massive respect for Hawkins for not making this the one-sided final many predicted. Whenever he looks like getting back in though Ronnie takes the next 2 or 3 frames in quick succession Hawkins deservedly wins that frame after that horrendous kick, he is playing brilliantly but Ronnie is still keeping him at a somewhat comfortable distance. Shows just how good Ronnie is.15-10 Ronnie at his ultimate best to extend his lead, another unbelievable clearance!
foxfanazer Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Wow Ronnie that was a sensational clearance! Makes it look soooo easy!!
kingfox Posted 6 May 2013 Author Posted 6 May 2013 Hawkins got the double figures so well done to him, great effort from Barry. O'Sullivan looks flawless though, and in the groove. 18-12 I think it will finish.

O'Sullivan looks flawless though, and in the groove. 18-12 I think it will finish. Hawkins would be in front against any other player the way he has been playing, unfortunately for him Ronnie decided to come back to defend his title. This is the best I have seen Hawkins play yet he still finds himself behind by five frames...

This is the best I have seen Hawkins play yet he still finds himself behind by five frames... Yep you are right. Hawkins had two-three real chances to get more frames than he has, O'Sullivan stole two plus won that last frame on the black last night. Hawkins is a fighter, and a great player, but I'm just glad he has got into double figures, people ruled him out altogether, saying it won't be competitive, Barry will struggle to get five frames, how wrong they were. Barry will be proud of his efforts, few more frames for Barry would be even better. This has been a very good final.

Great start in this session for Hawkins, not letting Ronnie have it all his own way for sure.
isaidno Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Great 2 breaks from Hawkins , gonna get to the final session at least
kingfox Posted 6 May 2013 Author Posted 6 May 2013 This is why I said don't underestimate Barry. The guy is a class act, and this final proves it. Oh he we struggle to win 5 frames. Shove that up your arse you negative pundits and Snooker fans. Barry is not out of this, especially if he makes it 15-13.
Guest shearfox Posted 6 May 2013 Posted 6 May 2013 Those four frames done in less than an hour, just impressive stuff...
