kingfox Posted 27 April 2013 Author Posted 27 April 2013 Tonight's scores... Trump 13-7 Fu Ding 2-6 King Trump turned up tonight, by winning the first four frames of the final session to win the match, Fu didn't win a single frame tonight. Trump doesn't seem to turn up in the morning, but when playing in the afternoon or night, he usually finds his best form. of the four frames won tonight, Trump made three half century breaks, a 50, 81 and 63. Trump takes on Murphy next, could be a close entertaining quarter final with both players scoring heavily, I think whoever wins that match will make the final, bold prediction but I just think that will happen. Meanwhile a very surprising scoreline so far in the Ding v King match, it seems Ding can't cope with pressure again, of the two frames he won he made two centuries, apart from that he lost some close frames or was just entirely poor. This is the best I've seen King play for a while though, his potting percentage was high, as he made numerous half century breaks in the six frames won, a 53 and 59 helped him win the first two frames which were closely fought, while he also made a 52, 57 and 53, he only failed to make a half century break in one frame which he still won, very good going. I'm going tomorrow again anyway, so will give my thoughts on the Morning and Afternoon sessions when I get back, Bingham v Davis and Walden v Milkins kick off tomorrow morning

Bizarre and hilarious.

Guest shearfox Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Below par Ronnie still managing to share the session and score heavy what a talent. Must be worrying for the other players if he can do that when far from his best.
kingfox Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 Back from Sheffield, great session of Snooker I witnessed today Morning's Scores Walden 5-3 Milkins Bingham 4-4 M.Davis Seemed a mixture this morning in the Walden v Milkins match, some good stuff and some scrappy stuff. Walden made a 60 break to open up the match, then a few frames later he made a 76 break. While Milkins produced some outstanding stuff in two frames, by making two century breaks, a 106 and 104. Bingham v Davis seemed a slow start, but both geared into action just before and after the mid session. 67, 106 and 82 break from Bingham, while Davis made a break of 57 in frame four. Afternoon's scores O'Sullivan 9-7 Carter Ding 9-7 King O'Sullivan v Carter is the best Snooker match I have been to at the Crucible so far, both were in quality form making heavy frame winning breaks. O'Sullivan opened up with an 86, only for Carter to reply with a 73, Carter got in again and produced a great break of 87, only for O'Sullivan to reply with the only century of the session, that being a 105. The next frame was absolutely brilliant, O'Sullivan made a break of 61, only to then miss, Ali cleared up by making a break of 63 to steal the frame on the black, Carter then won the next frame to level, only for O'Sullivan to pull away again by two frames, by winning the last two of the session, two quality breaks in both frames though,a 73 and a 86. Terrific entertaining Snooker by both players today, they were that fast, Ding v King were three frames behind them. Moving onto Ding v King then, what a performance from Ding this afternoon, winning 7/8 frames, while King only claimed one poxy frame. Ding was class today, and proved why I rate him so highly when in form, Ding produced breaks of 59, 98 and 74 in a row, Ding won two more frames after that to take the lead, King pulled one back to make it 8-7, but Ding won the final frame of the session with a century break. Hopefully Ding can keep his level up, and knock out King tomorrow. Great afternoon session of Snooker, a great day out, but not a good journey home, as I was almost sick on the train.
theessexfox Posted 28 April 2013 Posted 28 April 2013 Davis' long potting is superb, but he can barely sustain a break right now.
kingfox Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 Finally tonight's scores... Walden 10-6 Milkins Bingham 8-8 M.Davis Walden started really strong again tonight, starting from where he left off, producing very good Snooker. He won four frames in a row, and hit two half centuries in two of those frames, a 63 then a 76. Milkins came back at Walden though and won three frames on the trot, to close the gap, in one of those frames he hit a break of 77; however Walden won the final frame of the session to lead 10-6 going into tomorrow. Meanwhile Bingham v Davis cannot be separated, it finished 4-4 this morning, and has now finished 8-8 tonight. The match wasn't of the best quality though, the highest break of the night was a 75 by Mark Davis. The match went back and forth tonight, and I expect more of the same tomorrow, but fingers crossed it's better quality, because this could be a close one, two of the most improved players on the tour, battling out for their first appearance in a World Championship quarter finals.

See any of Davis' long potting? Superb, though like I said he couldn't build a decent break to save his life.
kingfox Posted 28 April 2013 Author Posted 28 April 2013 See any of Davis' long potting? Superb, though like I said he couldn't build a decent break to save his life. He was impressive against Higgins in that department when I went to see that match, his safety was good as well. Just hoping for better quality tomorrow, like their first session.

Jiggers the Fox Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 Confusing my days here, now quoting my own posts Out of interest mate, I would love to get tickets to some sessions for next years Championship. How does it work buying the tickets, is it session by session? Or can you get a days worth?
kingfox Posted 29 April 2013 Author Posted 29 April 2013 Out of interest mate, I would love to get tickets to some sessions for next years Championship. How does it work buying the tickets, is it session by session? Or can you get a days worth? Session by session You have to go on the Sheffield Theaters website, then buy through there. Tickets for this year were released in July last year, but they always release more tickets towards the start of the tournament, for rows C, D, E and F.
isaidno Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 See any of Davis' long potting? Superb, though like I said he couldn't build a decent break to save his life. In 9 visits to the crucible, he's never made a century
kingfox Posted 29 April 2013 Author Posted 29 April 2013 This afternoon's scores... Bingham 13-10 M.Davis Ding 13-9 King Bingham and Davis was a close run thing again, especially when it went to 10-10, it seemed like this could go to a decider. At the start of the match Bingham pulled away with a two frame lead by making breaks of 77 and 70, Davis hit back though to again level the match by winning the next two frames, to go into the mid session all square. Bingham came out and looked the stronger of the two, and played great Snooker to win the next three frames, and to win the match, in one of those frames he hit a century break of 111. Bingham's first ever Crucible quarter final, he will face the winner of O'Sullivan v Carter. Thankfully Ding Junhui managed to finish off Mark King, by winning 13-9. The first session of course was all King, but since yesterday Ding just played class Snooker, and proved why he is the favourite to get to the final, from the bottom half of the draw. Ding started today's session with a break of 69, only for King to hit back and win two frames on the trot, Ding needed to respond and open up a two frame lead again, and he did just that in style, by making a century break of 104, Ding won the next frame also with a break of 98, and with Ding needing only one more frame, he got it by pouncing on a number of mistakes by Mark King, to win the match 13-9. Ding now faces Barry Hawkins in the Quarter Finals, that should be a cracking match. O'Sullivan v Carter & Walden v Milkins to a finish tonight.
isaidno Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 Despite all the shocks , there's still 7 seeded players in the quarter finals
kingfox Posted 29 April 2013 Author Posted 29 April 2013 Tonight's Scores... O'Sullivan 13-8 Carter Walden 13-11 Milkins Classic Ronnie O'Sullivan tonight, he seems at ease with himself and in such a good frame of mind. He started tonight's session by winning the first frame, only for Carter to win the next with an impressive break of 86. O'Sullivan then turned the screws again, and roared ahead and eventually to victory, by winning the next three frames. In those three frames he made breaks of 88, 106 then finished off the match with a 89. Top class performance from O'Sullivan, despite being not playing for ages, he looks in hot form and with the chances Carter gave him, O'Sullivan punished him everytime by making frame winning breaks. O'Sullivan faces Bingham next. Walden was pushed hard by Milkins tonight, at times it looked like Milkins would get right back in it and maybe win the match. Milkins started fast by winning the first two frames in about 20 minutes, Walden hit back though in style by winning the next two frames with breaks of 61 and 55. Milkins pulled another frame on the board after that, only for Walden to then respond again with a 79 break, Milkins got yet another frame on the board to make it 12-11, but Walden got his chance early in the next frame to finish off the match, with a great break of 86. Walden proving his worth in a great tight match, he faces the only qualifier left in the draw in Michael White, can White produce the magic again, or can Walden show his experience and book a place in the Semi Finals? Quarter Final Line Up Ronnie O'Sullivan v Stuart Bingham Shaun Murphy v Judd Trump Ricky Walden v Michael White Ding Junhui v Barry Hawkins
Guest BlueBrett Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 Really enjoying watching Murphy tear Judd a new arsehole.
kingfox Posted 30 April 2013 Author Posted 30 April 2013 Morning's scores... Murphy 6-2 Trump Hawkins 5-3 Ding Murphy thumped Trump this morning, Judd is one of those players who don't seem to play well in the morning, but my word was he beyond shocking today. He was well and truly awful missed so many easy balls, and his long pots were just off. Shaun didn't play that great either in stages, but luckily for him he took his chances in about half of the frames played this morning. He made three half century breaks in a row, a 68(frame 2), 61(frame 3) then 82(frame 3), Murphy won two more frames after that, only for Judd to then finally win a frame on the black to make it 5-2; however he was poor again in the final frame of the session, as Murphy clinched it with a break of 76. Judd usually wakes up in the afternoon and night sessions, so maybe he can make a comeback, but keep giving Murphy chances he will more than likely clear up with a frame winning break. Finally this morning Hawkins v Ding was pretty good quality, Ding won't have it easy in this match despite being favourite, as the scoreline proves Barry leads and is playing decent stuff himself, this match could well be a close one, and I wouldn't be surprised if Barry even wins this match. Hawkins started the better this morning by winning the first two frames, one of those frames included a break of 55, Ding replied though by winning the next two with breaks of 84 & 56, to go into the mid session all square. Ding then took the lead 3-2, only for Barry to pick his levels up again and win three frames on the trot, in frame 7 he made a break of 51, he then claimed the final frame of the session to lead 5-3 going into tonight.
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 Can't look past O'Sullivan for this if he keeps this up, blowing Bingham away.
ScouseFox Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 If anyone beats Ronnie they win it. Simple. Nobody will, though.
foxfanazer Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 Can't look past O'Sullivan for this if he keeps this up, blowing Bingham away. whats the score mate?
ScouseFox Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 6-0 so far. Ronnie amongst the balls again in the 7th. Hit a 133 break in the 6th frame, too.
foxfanazer Posted 30 April 2013 Posted 30 April 2013 6-0! Can't see anybody beating. Good to see he's in the right frame of mind for this. How many frames is this one up to? 100% O'Sullivan won't win it Would you give me evens on that?
