FCC Sub-Committee Meeting

Recommended Posts

No directors there representing the Club and no Susan Whelan, who was there from the club? Thanks for the updates.

Jim (Supporter Liaison Officer), Pat McConnel (Supporter Engagement Administrator) and Tom Rowell (Data and Supporter Insight, responsible for FCC meetings and supporter surveys etc).

To be honest, after reading through that, it sounds like this committee has just been arranged so that it appears the club are trying to communicate with fans but in reality they won't change the fundamentals which we are really aggrieved with i.e ticket prices. I can't see anything much being achieved from this.

The minutes will have to get signed off by Susan Whelan and are fed back to the main committee which includes Susan, the FD, Andrew Neville etc.

Appreciate where you're coming from but remember the club have taken the steps to compile a new committee and hold meetings more regularly. Does that not tell you they want input from fans?

Whens the next meeting?

Over the summer when something could be done. Could someone please raise the issue of franchising the catering.

The food almost ever since we moved to the walkers has been rubbish and getting worse.

The service now worse than ever.

So why not ask mcdonalds, subway, burger king etc if they want to open outlets within the ground.

That way the prices would be in line with normal town stores, you know what you are paying for and getting. Plus the competiton between rival outlets would drive up standards and customer service.

Our club has many issues but this is something that can be sorted at little cost or effort to the club.

Next meeting is 30 May, which is the full committee so catering may not be discussed. As I said in my summary post, we are currently tied into a long term contract, put in place by Milan. The club are fully aware of the issues surrounding catering, and are also frustrated by the service they are receiving and paying for.

They want to bring catering in-house, but it'd involve a hefty sum to buy out the current contract.

Fair enough. But maybe if someone raised the idea of a competitive franchise model. And then the club approached mcdonalds, subway etc the money raised upfront would cover the cost. Followed by rent for each unit.

Just a suggestion thats all.

weren't we tied into long term sponsorship contracts under Mandaric which the Thai's got out of to get King Power on the shirt and Stadium as well as Puma supplying the kit?

Well thanks for trying but basicly nothing is going to change . Not one single point was properly addressed just the usual fob off. Oh and I suppose the ground is still going to look like a tramps hotel then ?
