FCC Sub-Committee Meeting

Good idea in principle, could be a disaster in practice without appropriate staffing.

Also not sure how easy it would be to keep track of who has used it or not. Even so, it's something I can put forward as an example of what other clubs are doing for their STH, even if we don't follow suit exactly.

Please ask if we have complained to Forest about our allocation on May 4th and should the unlikely event of us getting Forest in the play offs would we return the gesture.

Would they also ensure on line away ticket sales are subject to the sae priority system so people don't jump th queue.

First point I agree second point will be along these lines. Trust me I asked should we of got Norwich in replay. 'We will give the full allocation we are a proper club'.

A 'book' like the old season tickets issued with the cards? That'd be the best way of keeping track of it I suppose.

That's what Boro are doing by the looks of it, a book of vouchers. Good idea I think.

It is an excellent idea.

With the number of games moved from Saturday 3pm kick-offs this season, it's vital that the club are seen to be doing something to improve the value of season tickets for next season. I'd be fuming if I'd splashed out on one this season and only seen 7 out of 23 games kick off in the traditional time slot.

A price cut is the only way of turning people's heads who are un-sure. I don't think a price-freeze will cut it this time. If you compare people's wage rises to season ticket price rises over the last 10 years, it's not even close. Times are hard and unfortunately I am one of these people that just cannot afford to renew with the current price structure.

For a comparison: The average season ticket at Aston Villa was cheaper than the average price at City last season - to watch Premiership football. Also you can pick up a season ticket at Man Utd for less than the price of our most expensive ticket this year.

I would like to hear the club justify the prices.

Without meaning to send the thread off course Forest are entitled to give us what they have and there won't be an extra allocation.

Junior Foxes club is a joke compared to other clubs. I don't know much about marketing, but could do a lot better than what City marketing people are currently doing!!!!

How many Platinum fixtures do we have? (I assume they are the highest priced).

0 hopefully. They're an absolutely appalling idea and it just leads to pitiful attendances against so-called rivals. I'd like to think we've had our last 'platinum' fixture ever.

To be honest, the majority of what I was going to say has been covered in this thread.

Yes I know they are but it's a change to their normal away allocation so that's what bugs me, if they did it consistently I could accept it as it is the league minimum allocation requirement.

I don't disagree but it's worth a try raising our discontent and I don't expect the situation to arise any way.

Half time queues at the kiosks make it absolutely pointless trying to buy a drink/snack if you start queuing after the half time whistle. This even happened at the Middlesborough game!

You could ask the club do they realise just how much money they are losing to catering outside the ground ? It is a big issue and one they have never addressed since the new ground was opened. Most people don't bother with the catering inside the ground for all the obvious reasons , service too slow , no one could possibly leave their seat at half time and hope to get served before kick off again. standard of goods are over priced and poor quality.

All they need to do is take a look at the Burger vans outside the ground to see how it should be done. They are missing out on a potential high return if only they could be bothered.

The ones around the ground they will make money from, if it's on their property and they will be charged for taking a pitch there.

The club are pissed off - but what can they do about it?

Of course. But the club sub let the inside catering out as well and do not own that, it's a completely different company.

I know. It's all sublet.

  • Do away with Grades for games, we all go to watch LCFC so the price per match should be the same.
  • There would be no need for Fans' fixtures and dubious ST offers if prices were set at a reasonable and affordable level.
  • Many people can't get to the Ticket office or have access to the online shop so should not be penalised for buying tickets on the day.
  • Consider introducing vending machines to supplement the Kiosks, it's not as if the coffee is great anyway and would be ideal for crisps and chocolate.

Nice to know the club are pissed off, they can make this attitude very public I appreciate it won't get us more tickets but w and will know they ar on our side and fighting ou corner.

The first FCC sub-committee meeting is being held on Wednesday, we have been sent the agenda ahead of the meeting so I thought I would post the discussion topics here to see if anyone has any comments or issues they would like me to bring up.

So, if you have anything (constructive) that you would like putting forward about the following, please just reply on this thread and I will try and raise them for you, and let you know what was discussed following the meeting.

- Matchday experience.

- Ticket pricing structure.

- LCFC Direct.

- Season tickets and memberships.

- Match day catering.

- Non match day events.

- Social media.

I've said for years that they should give every season ticket holder a free scarf. Nothing fancy, just plain blue and white. Give them away on the first game of the season and I reckon a simple thing like that would increase the atmosphere due to more people joining in with the "we love you" chant.

As for ticket prices. I don't think the cost of a season ticket is that bad to be honest IF you take away all of these offers that benefit everyone but STHs during the season. Two or three is fine but to have them week in week out is getting ridiculous as lets face it, the crowd numbers never change significantly.

One thing that does bug me is the large variation in season ticket costs depending on where you sit. Quick bit of research shows that someone sitting on the far right of block G2 will be paying £110 less than the person on the far left of H1. The view is near identical as only the steps seperate them and therefore doesn't justify such a large hike. My season ticket seat is in H1 and is about the equivalent of the view from L1, but my ST was £90 extra. Maybe split that block as H1 and H2 as that is the only block in that stand that is so big. (Selfish point that one I know but wouldn't mind knowing why the price jumps so much between G2 and H1)

Social media - ensure that players are educated on the damage it can do if not used correctly.Knockaert's comments the other day were very unprofessional and if he has a problem then it should be dealt with internally.

Cup games - I think bringing back the "first cup game is free" to season ticket holders is a no brainer. Compare the burton Capital One Cup game this season to the game against Crewe a few years back. I can understand why they stopped it because it could either be a Tuesday night at home to Bury or a saturday afternoon against Man Utd (which would mean they miss out on a fortune) but it's the luck of the draw and the kind of thing that the fans will appreciate.

Non match day events - to be honest, I couldn't care less about the bingo events and things like that. I do think there needs to be more events for the kids though. Every half term there's a signing session but that's not a massive commitment by the club. The kids are the future Leicester fans and the only reason I became a fan was from going to the reserve games at Filbert Street. Cheap as anything, and a fun night out.

To be honest though, the majority of the above is irrelevant. If the football is entertaining and the players are committed then win, lose or draw, most people will be happy.

Student season tickets.

Everything else has been mentioned.

I've done work experience with a top social media marketing company and I have to say that our social media is very impressive in comparison to a lot of teams/sports organisations.
