Leicester Lass Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 The first FCC sub-committee meeting is being held on Wednesday, we have been sent the agenda ahead of the meeting so I thought I would post the discussion topics here to see if anyone has any comments or issues they would like me to bring up. So, if you have anything (constructive) that you would like putting forward about the following, please just reply on this thread and I will try and raise them for you, and let you know what was discussed following the meeting. - Matchday experience. - Ticket pricing structure. - LCFC Direct. - Season tickets and memberships. - Match day catering. - Non match day events. - Social media.
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 I imagine Safe Standing has been covered in depth before, but certainly worth hammering the issue home again. It's what fans want.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 The first FCC sub-committee meeting is being held on Wednesday, we have been sent the agenda ahead of the meeting so I thought I would post the discussion topics here to see if anyone has any comments or issues they would like me to bring up. So, if you have anything (constructive) that you would like putting forward about the following, please just reply on this thread and I will try and raise them for you, and let you know what was discussed following the meeting. - Matchday experience- It means an entirely different thing to them than it does to us. - Ticket pricing structure.- I don't mind it in fairness, though withdrawing the Leeds deal for non STHs was SHOCKING when it meant those who were quick bought them at a discounted rate. - LCFC Direct- The fact that anyone can buy an away ticket online regardless of priority needs to be dealt with. Whether they know about the problem or not is irrelevant. Most STHs are not happy with this as it is. - Season tickets and memberships.- Keep the prices froze this year - Match day catering.- Get rid of the idiots in charge at the moment. Employ caterers who understand basic maths, and that at least look as if they have the enthusiasm to be there serving customers. You can easily go down on say 35mins and still be queueing at the start of the 2nd half on occasions. It's basic business, serve more people in a shorter amount of time and the chances are they'll go up for seconds. Although the beer is rank if I'm on a bender I'd have two pints at half time, whereas now I sometimes may have one and be done with it, or other times not even bother as I can't be arsed with queueing. - Non match day events.- - Social media. edit- I see you said 'constructive' I'm not slagging anyone off and I've been quite abrupt in what I've said, but I'm sure you can tone it down a bit!
Ashley Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 Chloe. Any chance you could ask about fans input to kits. We have some good designers on here and I feel we could add and design some great kits for lcfc for future seasons. Obviously isn't on the agenda but if there is 'Would anyone like to add anything else'? Also SACK OFF the 'jazzed up' version of the post horn gallop.
Filbert The Fox Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 Can you ask why there is an extra £2.00 charge for buying a ticket on the day or at the gate.
Leicester Lass Posted 15 April 2013 Author Posted 15 April 2013 I imagine Safe Standing has been covered in depth before, but certainly worth hammering the issue home again. It's what fans want. It was covered in the main committee meeting which was a couple of months ago, the feedback from that and the club response is on a thread on here somewhere!
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 It was covered in the main committee meeting which was a couple of months ago, the feedback from that and the club response is on a thread on here somewhere! Sorry, I thought that was the case. Another thread has just made me think of something. It'd be nice if the club represented it's greater history more. There's an Arthur Rowley thread on here where great names like him, Chandler, Sep Smith are being mentioned. These guys did a lot for our club but a lot of younger fans won't have heard of them. Call for a statue?
Ricey Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 I think we are under utilising the video screens. - The score, match time and actual time should be visible at all times, perhaps via a trip down the left-hand side. - Replays should be shown at normal speed rather than the slowed down and stuttery like they currently are. - Half time entertainment should be shown on the screens. - U21 highlights should be shown before the match.
Pasturesfox Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 Ask How many games will be on a Saturday before I buy a season ticket, if no guarantee will we be compensated?
Jimmy Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 get the volume of the music pre game turned down in the kop as its deafening and kills any chance of atmosphere building pre game
1964FOX Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 Please ask if we have complained to Forest about our allocation on May 4th and should the unlikely event of us getting Forest in the play offs would we return the gesture. Would they also ensure on line away ticket sales are subject to the sae priority system so people don't jump th queue.
ADK Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 Would be nice if they stopped playing hey jude at the start of games, how long have we been doing that for? it sounds so tinpot.
Happy Fox Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 Scrap pre match music it is a hinderance get rid of the drum Cap match day pricing £20 for adults £15 for Under 21's £10 for under 16s etc.
wattolcfc Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 Ask if it is possible for fans to bring big flags/banners like they do across most of Europe or maybe even get the club to provide these to add to atmosphere? Play the original 'When you're smiling' after the teams come out and before kick off. Free first/second round of the League & FA Cup tickets for Season ticket holders. If a game is re-arranged for Sky, give season ticket holders a free pie or some sort of gesture for their support. Possibility of a points system for every £1 spent in the club shop or on tickets which eventually reward fans (customers) with money off tickets, like clubcard/nectar points. Non-season ticket holders who manage to come to 10 games (number can be agreed) get a free ticket for the next home game of their choice. More season ticket holder polls to ask questions on things the club need to address or if we are to decide on a new kit etc.
EastNeukFox Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 Should we, by some miracle, actually make the play-offs, then season ticket holders should be allowed to attend the home match without any further payment. That would be a nice gesture by the club in recognition of the exceptional number of games that have been moved this season. The recent offer hasn't really benefitted STH, ....just their friends!
Leicester Lass Posted 15 April 2013 Author Posted 15 April 2013 Done a quick bit of research, and found these have been the ticket offers this season: Bristol £15 STH 'Family & Friends Offer' Brighton £15 Fans Fixture Barnsley £15 Fans Fixture Huddersfield £10 Leicester Mercury Offer Middlebrough £20 Pie & Pint (Ticket worth £15 as STH could get pie & pint voucher for £5) Wolves £15 STH Offer Leeds £15 Fans Fixture (although for a limited time!) Millwall FREE Birmingham FREE Bolton FREE So 10 games, with an average ticket price of £10. What do people make of that? Also, please let me know if there are any games I missed.

It just shows what 'can' be done by the club when it suits them. I think it would be a very bold move, which would pay off, if they became the first club in the country to dramatically drop match ticket prices, which in turn would generate a lot of media publicity and I'm sure improve attendances a lot. Not to mention that the larger the attendance, the more merchandise and food/drink sold which increases turnover and in turn adds to improving the match day atmosphere as more people are in the ground.
Swiss_tony Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 electronic advertising hoardings might be great for the cameras up on high, but they are a real distraction if you are seated close to pitch level where they are in your line of sight when watching the game.
Leicester Lass Posted 15 April 2013 Author Posted 15 April 2013 Middlesbrough offering a free pint/soft drink to STH at every home league game next season. Would you be happy with a similar deal? Apart from having to queue up for it, obviously!

Corky Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 How many Platinum fixtures do we have? (I assume they are the highest priced).

Apart from having to queue up for it, obviously! Good idea in principle, could be a disaster in practice without appropriate staffing.
