Tuna Posted 20 April 2013 Posted 20 April 2013 Stockport have gone 1-0 in their game at Kidderminster, Hatters fans storm the pitch and attack the Kiddy players, ref has taken the players off! County directors were banned by Kiddy police from attending, I wonder why? A testament to appalling management and direction of a club that will be playing in the Blue Square North next season. What a tragic demise of a proud club who we were playing in League 1 4 years ago. Players now back on after 28 minute delay! Meanwhile all County's rivals are winning (Lincoln, gateshead and Tamworth).
AKCJ Posted 20 April 2013 Posted 20 April 2013 Remember playing them in League One. Didn't Kerrea Gilbert score and then Chris "Inter Milan" O'Grady scored a screamer.
Mack Posted 20 April 2013 Posted 20 April 2013 The lower league clubs need very astute businessmen at the helm in today's climate. Anything less and the grease pole is waiting,
art924 Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 They've been badly managed for years. It didn't help them that the owner of Sale RFC took them over with the object of asset stripping them. Bought the ground from them so they became tenants in their own stadium. He also made sure that they made no money on any merchandise, food, corporate hospitality etc.Even threw their rossettes and other types of memorabilia in a skip! Sale have now moved on and their is new ownership I believe their MD is 28 years old young! Imagine if Tigers had done the same to us? Always mystified me that there was more publicity about this at the time I'm sure their would have been if Bristol Rovers had done the same to Bristol RFC for instance. Lower league football clubs should be very wary of ground-sharing with Premiership Rugby Clubs especially if there's not too much difference between the support as the Rugby teams are all desperate to own their stadiums. Wasps and Wycombe were also in a similar situation having the same owner but the Rugby club being the priority. Wasps were trying to sell off Adams Park and build a new 20,000 stadium in Wycombe completely unsuitable for Wanderers needs of course, thankfully this is now dead in the water and I think Wasps are now wanting to follow Saracens (who mysteriously got the backing for a new stadium by Barnet council- the same Barnet council who have resolutely refused to back Barnet FC to get a new stadium) route of owning a stadium independently somewhere in London.
isaidno Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 They've gone from the championship to conferance north in 10 years. Shocking to think they'll be playing Solihull moors and Vauxhall Motors next season
