linemakers Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Mancini's sacking means managers who won 2011-12 Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, League cup and Championship have all been shafted from their jobs
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 If there were any more proof needed that the demands of modern football are ridiculous.
MC Prussian Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Well, there goes common sense out of the window. Baffling at times, but when immediate success is the only driving force in modern football, this is what you get.
ADK Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 I wonder if Moyes will be allowed to win nothing for 6 years like Fergusson was.
Guest shearfox Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 , unbelievable... just goes to show how bad things have come, it is about time something was done
FoxyPV Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 I wonder if Moyes will be allowed to win nothing for 6 years like Fergusson was. Hasn't done Wenger any harm.

Fox92 Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Ridiculous isn't it, and it highlights how bad certain owners are for the game imo. Just shows the line between success.
Jordan Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 So, Mancini gets to win the Premier League title, sign a contract extension, and then wind up earning nearly all of his £35 million contract in one year instead of five. He'll then take another gig--surely he's worth a job at a decent-sized club--and make more millions. Nice work, if you can get it. Unfortunately, there is now so much pressure on lower division managers, too, and one rash decision by a chairman to sack a manager can cause nearly irreparable damage to that manager's CV. All this makes me wonder if the LMA is perhaps the most useless union in sports. They kicked up a small fuss when Sven was sacked here, and now their response to manager sackings is to propose a course for managers to get a badge or a degree in "leadership." I mean, what exactly do they do? What kind of union lets its members get sacked left and right for the slightest of reasons?
