I remember noticing one guy just staring blankly outside the front door for 5 minutes straight, like he was anticipating a food standards officer at 4am. They even short change you for your food poisoning as well. 1p but it is still the principle, I remember asking for it back and putting it in a charity box

The end of Narborough Road, Shaftesbury school area, Braunstone Gate area has seriously gone down hill since I was born. One of the most scruffiest places in Leicester nowadays in my opinion, passing it on the bus get's more and more depressing. Full of foreign shops, and fast food pizza places and of course Maryland. You get all the chavs hanging outside Greggs nowadays as well, disgusting.

Used to be a decent place about ten years back, used to queue out the door on most nights. Don't get that now. I wouldn't touch no restaurant or fast food places down Narborough Road. Same here, most of them look absolutely filthy, as do the clientel. I would have to be very very desperate to end up in a fast food place that isn't KFC.

I'm thinking more of Marios 30 years ago - so it still exists? There was a wonderful kebab shop on the Hinckley rd end of Narborough road only a few years ago. Used home made naan bread which was fresh and delicious. Didn't see it there a couple of years ago though.

One place nearer my end, that restaurant on the corner of Ivy Road, across the road from Iceland, at the back of that looks absolutely disgusting. Dhaka Delhi I think it is. But up the end I mentioned, the amount of foreign shops, and shitty pizza and kebab shops now is disgusting.
