Proof that Labour hate the English?

Don't need one :fishing:

It would work as a good defense if you hadn't been bitching about the council on here for ages, long before I'd ever outed myself as an employee.

You can fire off all the emoticons you want and I'm sure you'll get a couple of chuckles on here, no doubt. But you and I both know you're a silly little boy with a chip on your shoulder and no clue how local authority works. ;)

Nice try though.

 Hello all,

First off, apologies for dredging up a year-old thread, which I realise is a faux pas in message board circles. However, I have a few amusing additions to this discussion which I'd like to post about...

The story we're supposed to be outraged about here is that Peter Soulsby decided not to meet with the English Community Group Leicester, and after a good deal of arm-twisting someone who happens to belong to the same party as Soulsby used the word "descrimination" to describe the mayor's decision.

Something that the conversation has not touched upon, however, is just who was in charge of the English Community Group Leicester at the time...

When Soulsby delined to meet with the ECGL, the organisation was run by a UFO nut called Clive Potter. You can read all about Mr. Potter here.

Here is an excerpt from that article:

He has criticised the current BNP, along with the English Defence League, for being too multicultural.

The left-wing magazine Notes from the Borderland alleges that Clive Potter is the real identity of the blogger "Nemesis", who contributes to blogs such as NorthWestNationalists and Griffin Watch and is prone to ranting about "THE 'HOODED MAN' (OF WODEN'S FOLK' PROPHECY)".

Potter was once involved closely with Robert France, a man who has, allegedly, sometimes turned into an alien. Potter, France and France's girlfriend Shelagh Yeoman teamed up to form an organisation called Pendragon, which collaborated with the rock band C.E.IV to release an audio tape called The Shadow of Man in 1992; Pendragon broke up shortly after this project.

Potter has written a number of articles for the website AlienIncarnation.com. In one, he argues that UFO sightings and alien encounters are the work of artificial intelligences: "this sort of control system can manifest as aliens, angels and demons, faeries, monsters, the Virgin Mary and, in many cases, as seemingly human spirit guides." Potter believes that these AIs were created by beings remembered in mythology as gods, and that they operate by manipulating mankind's collective unconscious. "The AIs would have helped in constructing that consciousness with the purpose of guiding man’s evolution in a direction that the original creators of humanity desired", he writes. He goes on to argue that the AIs have been monitoring humanity since homo sapiens first evolved.

Potter appears to have been involved with a group called Silent Majority, notable largely for opposing a Leicester gay pride/Mardi Gras event in 2000. Exactly how Potter can consider his rather curious views to be representative of the majority is unclear.

His website Alien Incarnation is closed now, but you can still access it at Archive.org. I particularly like this article, where he talks about how his friend Robert France turned into an alien while they were leaving Boots together:

Here's an artist's impression of the incident:

So, yeah. This is the guy who used to run the English Community Group Leicester. Basically, the "story" here is that Peter Soulsby turned down a meeting with a man who thinks aliens are following him around.

There are many legitimate reasons to criticise the Labour party, but this ain't one of them.

Hello Amy Soulsby :thumbup::blush:

Quite an apt time to bring the thread up though given it's title. It's long be known that the Labour party hate the English since they stopped voting for them in droves. It appears they will now be boycotting all talks on English votes for English laws as they are accusing it of being a stich up.

What a terrible thing to do, to be so desperate to be able to rope in Scottish MP's to get your legislation though you won't enter into a debate to do something that pretty much every other side of the political spectrum agrees that is the right and correct thing to do.

Yeah, I'm weird like that. I'm a sucker for any discussion where grey aliens play a part.

I never knew the thread existed so how did a newbie know?

Google. I've been researching the organisation that is being discussed here, and this is one of the first hits I found.
