kingfox Posted 1 July 2013 Posted 1 July 2013 Just woke up to see the news that Snooker player, Ali Carter has been diagnosed with testicular cancer. I've had the privilege of seeing him play at the Crucible three times, fingers crossed he can make a speedy and good recovery.
Guest MattP Posted 1 July 2013 Posted 1 July 2013 Echos of Paul Hunter. Shame as he seems a great guy.
Ric Flair Posted 1 July 2013 Posted 1 July 2013 Echos of Paul Hunter. Shame as he seems a great guy. I was just about to say the same thing. Really hope he pulls through, he's a good man and a superb player. Similar age to me as well.
leicsmac Posted 1 July 2013 Posted 1 July 2013 Thankfully testicular cancer is much easier to treat than the endocrine cancer that killed Paul Hunter. Hopefully they've caught it early and if they have he should make a full recovery.
Corky Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Seemed to slip under the radar, but great news: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2013/jul/19/ali-carter-all-clear-cancer

Amazing that modern medical science means that testicular cancer is highly survivable now.
