Zingari Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Does she sound a bit like Long John Silver's parrot ?
Alf Bentley Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Some cracking stuff in there Alf but that's a personal favourite! Your cousin is doing a superb job aswell, best sports coverage in the land in The Times, unmissable on Saturday and Monday's, is it Tim Hallissey or is it someone else now? Is the cryptic clue a certain northern female Labour MP? It's Tim who's my cousin and I think he's still in the same job. Haven't met him for 30 years, though (I did originally have 43 first cousins, to be fair - bloody Irish Catholic heritage!). He taught me all I know about table football - and I taught him that Sweet were a far greater band than Wizzard. My parents have met him more recently and reckon he's still a thoroughly nice bloke, as he was when I knew him growing up.

Nice, I can actually top you on cousins, I think it's 48 at last count and that was a few years back, Mother has 9 brothers and 4 sisters, same reasoning. I'm sure you could qualify for a free Times subscription with a word or two
Carl the Llama Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 I got shouted at by Gus Poyet for not having a pen handy when he was driving into the Amex. To this day I don't know what he wanted a pen for(or why he assumed a lowly car park steward would have one).

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 My great, great, great, great grandfather, Williams Huskisson, was the first person to be killed by a train, Stephenson's "Rocket" at the Rainhill trials in1829.

I vaguely associate him with the Corn Laws from long-dimmed memories of school history lessons.

I've just read about him and the train incident, and I think the Duke of Wellington pushed him
General Smuts Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 Behave is that minister lass 52. I'd give her the most unfulfilled 15 seconds of my life.
Foxy27 Posted 5 September 2013 Posted 5 September 2013 I had Gary Linekar with one of his son's and his Father sat in front of me at Wembley for the League cup final against Tranmere. His ex-wife was sat next to me that game too. When i was younger I had Trevor Brooking present my end of season football trophy for most improved player. Met Sven in Babble, London on a night out since he left us. Managed to bag a quick pic with him. My misses met the whole squad at Stansted when she was pregnant last year before they were due to fly out to Austria for pre season. Got a load of autographs. Not really my claim to fame but my cousin is really good friends with Martin Johnson. Is in his autobiography too for when they played football at school together for Harborough and are always out and about.
