Leicester christmas market

Does Leicester have a Christmas market and if so, is it as good as Lincoln's?

It did a couple of years ago, not sure now.

When I went it was shite though.

Not been to the Lincoln one for years but I get the impression it's the closest thing we have to a proper Christmas market.  Was at the Birmingham one a couple of years ago and it was certainly popular but it wasn't obvious why - the same three stalls repeated again and again, expensive and rammed with wankers.

A mate has done a few in Germany and he claims - and it's a bold claim - that they're so much better than ours that it's actually worth going over there for them

Did Munich and it was brilliant.

Went to the Birmingham one and want impressed at all.

Stamford does a good Christmas market on Saturdays.

Well I guess I'll be taking back what I said about the Birmingham one then lol. Was just going on what I'd heard on it from last year.

Germany is definitely on the list for one year though.

Someone was saying today he went Birmingham at the weekend and there was a huge market there. he said it was good with entertainment as well.

Those Christmas markets all sell a load of old tat anyway , and that includes the German ones. I couldn't believe the rubbish people were buying . I  blame it on the effects of that awful gluwine ( spelling?) they were drinking

I'm not a big fan of the stalls etc. but lincoln market is a nice evening out.  Very atmospheric around the catherdral at night and gets me feeling christmassy.

I much prefer it to the Manc / Brum ones.
