Bellend Sebastian Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 Not been to the Lincoln one for years but I get the impression it's the closest thing we have to a proper Christmas market. Was at the Birmingham one a couple of years ago and it was certainly popular but it wasn't obvious why - the same three stalls repeated again and again, expensive and rammed with wankers. A mate has done a few in Germany and he claims - and it's a bold claim - that they're so much better than ours that it's actually worth going over there for them

Well I guess I'll be taking back what I said about the Birmingham one then . Was just going on what I'd heard on it from last year. Germany is definitely on the list for one year though.

absolutelegend Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 I'm not a big fan of the stalls etc. but lincoln market is a nice evening out. Very atmospheric around the catherdral at night and gets me feeling christmassy. I much prefer it to the Manc / Brum ones.
