Jon the Hat Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 Not going to end well is it? Should have stayed in Kazakhstan.
Guest MattP Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 Aston Villa: 1998-2002 quit Derby County: 2002-2003 sacked QPR: 2006-2007 sacked Maccabi Ahi Nazareth: 2009-2010 sacked FC Ashdod: 2010-2011 sacked FC Kairat: 2011 sacked Just how do these people still find work?
purpleronnie Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 Rather than going for someone with little experience they would rather hire someone who has lot's of experience.... in failing.
lavrentis Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 I remember when we were heavily linked with him, and some people on here actually wanted him.
Corky Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 Just how do these people still find work? If you actually look into his career in management, he's had one good year. Amazed he got the Villa job given how averagely he was doing at Wycombe, 1998 was his only really good year in management. Sat in mid-table with Villa after that, nearly took Derby down twice, made no progress in a year at QPR and was average to appalling in the Middle East. This is a really strange choice, you could see it if he'd had a pedigree of success, but he hasn't, nowhere near in fact.
deanolegend1989 Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 The only thing hes done well was an incredible first half of the 98/99 season with Aston Villa when they lead the Premier League. They dropped after dramatically and had failure ever since..
Jimothy Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 He won't be there long once he gets arrested for the abduction of Madeline McGann.
