What I don't get about Pearson this season.....

I can answer the one about Liam Moore. Miquel has to play because Wenger kicked up a stink and our owners insist Waselewski plays for marketing purposes.

lol! Hardly David Beckham is he?!

Lets have it right. We're third, we've had a mini blip, but things are still seemingly going in the right direction.

There's still some things I personally don't get though?

1. Schlupp.... For me, he needs to be playing more consistently at left back. Against Watford (albeit a poor Watford on the day), him and Dyer were unplayable. The pace down that left side was clear to see. I'd like to see Konch dropped now and Schlupp given the chance he needs.

2. Knocky... the general consensus is that he's our most gifted midfielder. At a time when the midfield is contributing so little directly to scoring goals (that's statistically demonstrated) can Pearson not sort out some formation which allows Knocky more freedom to do more damage?

3. Liam Moore... only a few games ago, he was arguably our best performing defender. Now he's not starting. Like Schlupp, is this not a little backward thinking of Pearson?

4. The 4-3-3 when playing away. Its not working, leaves us too exposed and we struggle to stop conceding goals.

Anyway, opinions please. And please none of this 'you're having a go at the manager' nonsense. These are all questions I've been wondering about for a while and the biggest issues I'd like answers to.

Good ol Nigel... and keeping Knocky in the 4-4-2 has worked also.

All season he has been playing players on merit.

There's examples of this throughout the season.

James consistently playing, harshly got suspended King kept him out for a while. James his chance to earn his place back in that starting line up and has played ever since.

Moore has been injured but Wasyl has been a tank since Moore's injury and thoroughly deserves his place in the starting line up now, even though Moore is back fit.

And now the same with Schlupp, he has played well the last two games at LB and if he has another good game aginst Banrsley I would be very surprised if he was drop when Konch returns, and it would be harsh on Schlupp.

Pearson doesn't have his favourites but clearly you do. Based on what you are saying regardless of how others play, Moore, Schlupp and Knockaert should start more or less every game.

Moore now has to prove he deserves a place in the start lining up next time he gets an opportunity. This is good experience for him to realise in professional football you can't get complacent (I’m not saying he was) and assume you will always start no matter how well you've been playing, when you return from missing a few matches.

And because Pearson has been playing players on merit is the reason why our squad this season is so strong and competitive.

This is probably the reason why Schlupp has come in replacing a senior player and playing so well. He has seen other players get their chance and stay in the team, he is now taking his chance.
