It appears to me at present we have a good team/squad of players but I can't think of any area of the pitch that we have 2 players that have built up a good understanding.

Our strikers and centre mids are both too similar. Vardy and nugent run around but don't seem to have struck up any kind of understanding (unlike the burnley front 2). All decent partnerships I've ever seen seem to have one who creates and one who finishes. Ours do neither.

James and drinkwater for me don't work. Needs one of them to make forward runs and try to create whilst one sits. They both sit. Away from home that's not the worst thing but at home we need king in there.

Our centre backs weren't organised. Hasn't help not having a regular partner for Wes. They didn't know where each other was and positioning was poor.

Finally, fullbacks and wingers had little cohesion. The 4 of them have played together for a while now but IMO they haven't struck up enough of an understanding.

I might be being harsh but for me burnley looked a lot more of a team and seemed so much more organised than us. This could be our downfall. We're still doing really well, just need to do some of the basics better.

It's easy to judge us harshly on this having just played against the clearest example of a strike (or any) partnership in the division but we have got a few decent combinations, particularly Konchesky and Dyer. I also think De Laet overlapping Knockaert works well against most teams.

We've never really settled on a partner for Morgan which is a shame, but I think it's good that there's not a clear partnership in central midfield or up front. If there was, we'd probably be moaning about a lack of depth as soon as we had an injury to any of those players.

Vardy and Nuge have a good partnership in my eyes. Vardy has been the better of the 2 strikers this season and it's a shame he doesn't have as many goals as Nugent.

Think Morgan and Moore were a great partnership up until last month and changes were made due to injury.

Drinkwater & King can be very good together, not convinced on Drinky & James together

Konchesky & Dyer is phenomenal this season (I've slated Konch last season, but he's like a different play this time out)

RDL has a lot of success overlapping Knocky

Morgan & Moore was strong before RDL's injury messed up the backline

Nugent & Vardy has been excellent for the team even though they're not productive scoring from open play. They defend from the front better than practically anyone, link up well with the mids & widemen... And work lots of opportunities for others.

We kind of need a poacher to stick all these chances away, but then we wouldn't have the benefit of both of theirs workrate

Nugent and Wood, when both on form, can be utterly lethal with their understanding. I don't think we can complain about Vardy and Nugent's understanding either.
