MooseBreath Posted 7 January 2014 Posted 7 January 2014 It was much better when you could just pick and choose the laws you wanted to obey and get away with opting out of some of them, yes It was much better when laws weren't decided based on how much money can be made from fines, yes.
sphericalfox Posted 7 January 2014 Posted 7 January 2014 This specific stretch of road was 50miles an hour for numerous years when they added an extra lane for much of it. I doubt it'll make much of a difference.
ADK Posted 7 January 2014 Posted 7 January 2014 How much further down this road is it until we get to energy rationing and fines for going over your limit? This has nothing to do with energy rationing, it is due to air quality.
MooseBreath Posted 7 January 2014 Posted 7 January 2014 This has nothing to do with energy rationing, it is due to air quality. All the same tree huggy type shit at the end of the day. And if that is the case then how the pook gin wan is this fair on those with low-emission cars? I paid quite a lot of extra money for my eco model and now I can't even drive it faster than peasant pace.
ADK Posted 7 January 2014 Posted 7 January 2014 And how would you propose singling out high emission cars? (You pay less VED already that is meant to be the incentive).
purpleronnie Posted 7 January 2014 Posted 7 January 2014 And how would you propose singling out high emission cars? (You pay less VED already that is meant to be the incentive). A car powered by his own sense of self-satisfaction.
MooseBreath Posted 7 January 2014 Posted 7 January 2014 And how would you propose singling out high emission cars? (You pay less VED already that is meant to be the incentive). Haven't you answered your own question?
ADK Posted 7 January 2014 Posted 7 January 2014 Haven't you answered your own question? Not really no.
Bayfox Posted 7 January 2014 Posted 7 January 2014 Why is may car made to do 20 to the gallon and 155mph. bloody politicians, road safety campaigner's, eco warriors and police state. Raise the speed limits!!!
Donut Posted 8 January 2014 Posted 8 January 2014 Yeah, it's the way we go to home games. Bit annoying, don't really get what it's about. The rest of it will remain 70mph? What if you have a fuel economy car? They still look at the wrong things, people will still travel faster. They should be looking to get people who sit in the middle lane, which is one of the most frustrating things. Half the time its that freakin busy that its more dangerous/people cant be arsed to move from lane 1 to 2 and back over and over around the lorries in my experience
