lancyclaret Posted 13 March 2014 Author Posted 13 March 2014 if they played like they did last night after listening to the SSN commentry then i think they will struggle against us and you guys. Any more info on ings leaving on crutches as well? Not official......but apparently he has played with a dodgy ankle a few times this season, recently against his old club Bournemouth. I think Dyche trusts Ings to be honest enough and to declare himself unfit if he had a bad injury. He certainly isn't as sharp as he was in the first 15 or so games of the season. I think some players are prepared to play through the pain barrier if they are enjoying their football. Heaven knows how they managed before they allowed subs. I vaguely remember the 1961 FA Cup final when Leicester lost 2-0 to Spurs. Len Chalmers was injured early on and was just a hobbling passenger on the wing and only there for his nuisance value. Terrible shame for him - same as Dave Whelan who broke his leg in 1960 final.
LCCFox96 Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 If we avoid defeat at burnley then it will be very difficult for Burnley to catch us. This is key. If we can make to Saturday evening on March 29th maintaining our current form and avoiding defeat at Turf Moor then I'd like to think we could close out the title. I'd go as far as saying we are the only team to deserve it then, especially if we beat Burnley away. Lot of football too be played until then mind you.
Super_horns Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 And it's another joke to laugh at Watford with - isn't Dyche the man they ruthlessly chopped to herald in this amazing new era? It is and most agree Dyche was hard done by but I doubt he would have stayed being told who to buy/play TBH. We almost got away with it last season I guess - fair point about this season being rubbish though.
promised land Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Terrible shame for him - same as Dave Whelan who broke his leg in 1960 final. I don't look at other forums that often but over on Bluemoon, the Man City fans constantly quote this and the fact he apparently always goes on about. Being close by in Burnley is this true that he always tells people he broke his leg?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 My mate won £900 yesterday at the bookies. just saying.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 I know Alan Young got slated on The Longside for saying we'd go the rest of the season unbeaten, and that's fair enough, but I think the general consensus on here is 'One Game At A Time/I Can't Believe This Is Happening To Us!' I'm definitely a 'One Game At A Time/I Can't Believe This Is Happening To Us' type of person although I do let my mind wander a little further sometimes before dragging myself back. This is Leicester City after all! I think it's fair to say we just want promotion first, then we'll think about the title. I know as each game passes, we become more confident and the title hopes get louder on here, but we'll just have to see. We've had some very rough years as Leicester City fans. Promotion first please. This totally this

My Dad was at that final and he told me that City looked the better team before we were essentially cut down to 10 men. Incidentally, thanks for consistent intelligent posting on this board, like most of us if we go up (cant bring myself to say when yet) we would really like Burnley to come up too. You deserve it
