StanSP Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 I didn't see the final but what happened to the Indian innings? Only scoring 130 I would of expected them to of lost loads of wickets, but they only lost 4! It reads like they went down with a whimper. I think the fact we were put in to bat first played a part. We like to chase and there were some players who didn't seem up to the task. Namely Yuvraj Singh who cantered along instead of big-hitting like we know he can. Saying that, some of the treatment and comments he received after the match were seriously harsh. Added to that, Sri Lanka were just better than us on the day. I think even another 30 or 40 may not have been enough. But the 130 wasn't challenging enough for a score in the final or for a score to test Sri Lanka.

It has to be 150 plus minimum to be even a little competitive in T20 unless the pitch is dodgy. India are playing at Grace Rd in June but only in one of those 3 day 15 players have a bat friendlies. First match of the tour.
