Swarles Barkley Posted 27 March 2014 Author Posted 27 March 2014 Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Brilliant win! Credit to Hales could of easily collapsed after our dreadful start. Well done England
Corky Posted 27 March 2014 Posted 27 March 2014 Can't wait for another three years of this under Gilo, King of Spain. We could look like an international team at some point, lads. They actually take catches. Yes, stay Ashley
leicsmac Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 At least we are making a fight of it, but it is still Sri Lanka's to lose, especially with 2 overs of the Slinger left, I can't wait for him to retire, I really don't enjoy watching him bowl. I don't care if it is legal and a result of him having problems as a child, I just hate watching him chuck it down. He's a chucker, end of. So was Murali, but because they're both amazing and famous bowlers the ICC gave them a free pass. You might guess I can't stand his action either. Massive, massive well done to Hales. And to Morgan too - anchoring a 150 stand is a rare thing in T20.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Fantastic that the winning sixes came off Faulkner's bowling, the p***k.
Guest MattP Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 Darren Sammy is fast becoming the best finisher in World cricket, I'be more confident of him at the crease for a final over 17-18 than Dhoni now.

Guest MattP Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 . Sammy is class, to be fair! Just reading up on Cricinfo. In the last few months he has took his team to win in the last over with scores of. Unreal hitting. 34*(13) 31*(8) 22*(7) 58*(29) 62*(34) 7*(2) Probably a couple more in as well as they don't give cards for all the West Indian domestic.

Guy plays with a smile on his face and total commitment to his team. Great lad.
Voll Blau Posted 28 March 2014 Posted 28 March 2014 So much admiration for Sammy, especially as he doesn't come from one of the "big" islands too. Hope the Windies become genuinely competitive across all three formats again. Not sure if anyone's been to the Caribbean and seen the Sportsmax channel on TV over there. Every day they have a talk show which is basically an hour of Wavell Hinds slating Sammy's captaincy. Comical.
purpleronnie Posted 29 March 2014 Posted 29 March 2014 Dernbach WTF???????????????????????? Jade Dernbach now has the joint-worst economy rate in international Twenty20 history.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 29 March 2014 Posted 29 March 2014 We do need to sort our bowling out, not sure about Dernbach or Bresnan.
dogadug Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Fair play to the Netherlands for coming back like this after the start they made against Sri Lanka. Not sure where they go after this though, because it appears as though they've lost ODI full member status
marko Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 This is the final insult today. Giles OUT. It's hard to believe we're being taught a lesson by a side that lost its ODI status as it wasn't in the top 6 Associate sides. And another just gone!
purpleronnie Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Not sure the england team have got a brain between them. Because it was clear from the bowling and field positions the dutch were using theirs. I've said it before but we simply aren't ruthless enough, we'll never have any success with our attitude.

I've said it before but we simply aren't ruthless enough, we'll never have any success with our attitude. But we have been, that's what I can't understand. The attitude under Flower and the players was superb hence we ended up winning a World Cup and being the no 1 team in the World. The last 6 months have been a joke, everything we were doing, a tough, big strong team who showed show much aggression has turned into a county side who have gone from Lions to Pussycats on the pitch.

Yes I agree, I'm talking about our current attitude, we seem to be going backwards. 16 overs 3 boundaries?
