Larry_LCFC Posted 21 March 2014 Posted 21 March 2014 For any foxes who live outside Leicester, the A46 will be shut Tuesday night going out of Leicester from the junction with the A607 Melton Road all the way up to the A6006. Closes at 8pm. Going to be a killer for me heading back to Lincoln after the match. Trying to find a quick and easy alternate route - the simple answer is, there isn't one. Nice of them to think of the football fans.

Closed at Syston. Can barely even get out of Leicester on the A46. Would probably have to go all the way to Grantham on the melton road and then onto Lincoln. Determined to still make the match, but what a ballache!

If you was a plastic fan, you could stay and take in the Leicester night life....

Nice of them to think of the football fans. Is the 6006 the notts turn? If so some back down 46 to syston go straight over at roundabout. Take left at next roundabout then left onto fosse way. Turn right at next roundabout and follow signs for melton. Once in melton go straight through and head up the nottingham road and it should bring you back out at 6006 junction where the new section of a46 starts. should take you about 30mins longer. Quicker than going grantham way.

Is this from the slip road on the A46 just after the hobby horse roundabout or before that?
