Ric Flair Posted 18 August 2005 Posted 18 August 2005 Anyone scared yet? I have brown under-crackers. I wonder how long Levein will stick by him if he makes mistakes like he did last night for Scotland? I just hope Levein will be brave enough to drop him if he throws away anymore games for us.

He was awful last night when he came on and I am praying that he only makes mistakes in high profile games. Crewe away is low key, let's hope he has a blinder
Louise Posted 18 August 2005 Posted 18 August 2005 I wouldn't say he was fine against Stoke. The only good game I'd say Rab has had for us is the Ipswich one and how much is his confidence going to be knocked back down again for Crewe after this happening in midweek?

Rab's a decent enough keeper for this league, but he needs the support of the fans. It's just unfortunate he made mistakes on his league debut, because Keller and Walker had a fair few lapses between them, but still proved to be generally decent.

He has handed in a transfer request but Megson has rejected, however if he is persistent in going and we put a reasonable offer in for him I'm sure we could prise him away from them. Plus, he is second choice to Rune Pederson so he would not be that great of a loss to Megson. Gerrard is experienced in this division and many Forest supporters I have spoke to say that he is one of their best players last season.

Bilko Posted 18 August 2005 Posted 18 August 2005 Our Thracian friend is bang on l'm afraid as are our visitors from chilly jocko land...Douglas is and will be a liability. Already this season he has cost us points and caused the Scots to draw a game they were winning. Wake up and smell the bacon! Levein's biggest mistake and he's on a 3 year contract!!!
Anish Posted 18 August 2005 Posted 18 August 2005 I think most of us were a bit apprehensive about Douglas in the first place. And he has done nothing so far to quell most of our fears imo. I'm glad I haven't seen his lapses for Scotland - it wouldn't give me much confidence in Douglas if they are as bad as everyone is saying. I am also slightly concerned about the 3 year contract. I know we had to attract him and probably had to give him a bit of security to get him to move, but a 3 year deal for a 33 year old isn't a great move for me.
