SystonFox Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 That is when the stewards need to move in and remove that person. If they don't the police need too. Fook em ST or day ticket they need to go. Personally I'd help a steward remove anyone for that. Alright Adolf chill bro
Grandad. Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 If Liverpool only give 2,000 then why was there nearly 3,000 Chelsea there t'other week? Genuine question Scrap that, Chelsea did have 3,000, God knows why, the majority will only get 2,000 at Anfield.
SystonFox Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 Scrap that, Chelsea did have 3,000, God knows why, the majority will only get 2,000 at Anfield. Is it just big clubs who get 3,000 as I'm sure Yanited do too?
Channies6thswan Posted 8 May 2014 Author Posted 8 May 2014 Even if it is just for the first season, give as few as possible to away fans. I think that the club should try to give our fans the chance to be the "12th man". 1000 extra Leicester gobs for our PL return is OK by me. Totally agree. I really can't stand this 'plastics' debate but it just amazes me that some people who claim to be city supporters would sooner have more opposition fans in the ground than those prepared to buy a 'new' season ticket.
TheLeftSide Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 That's DEFINITELY wrong as Liverpool only give 2,000 tickets to away fans. It is definitely 2,000 - the premier league rule book says "34.2.1 Each Club must make provision for at least 2,000 visiting supporters at every home match or such number as represents 10% of the Club's certified capacity, if less than 2,000." I agree that we get fed up with small away allocations (more so when the home-end isn't sold out) but Liverpool is a good example. Their ground holds 42,000. Our away allocation is 2,000 (well 1,965 to be exact, including the 3 back rows being restricted view where you can't see anything if those in front of you are standing up). Yet we will give them 3,200 tickets in a ground that holds 32,000. As for the tit for tat argument, Liverpool will not give us an extra 1,200 tickets just because we are giving them 3,200. Of course the flip side is that our club goes tit-for-tat and says to Liverpool 'if you only give us 2,000 tickets then we will only give you 2,000 tickets', but does anyone really think this will happen? I realise that the tickets sold to away fans raises more money on a match by match basis but taking the long-term view, surely having a large number of season ticket holders would pay dividends? There are still a large number of our supporters who have tried to get season tickets but have been unable to do so and I feel sorry for them. Sure, the club cannot please all the supporters all the time, but I think they should at least put our supporters first. Like I said, I would sooner see 1,200 of them cheering on the city on than 1,200 Liverpool supporters. It's 3,000 not sure what rule book you are looking at but it must be an old one! See the picture which is a snapshot of this seasons Premier League handbook. Some clubs will try and get round these rules anyway they can, just look at what Norwich did to us in the FA Cup a couple of seasons back.
Strokes Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 No way, away fans per person attribute far more to the atmosphere inside the ground. Take them away and it will be like a morgue.
Channies6thswan Posted 20 November 2014 Author Posted 20 November 2014 I started this thread in the summer & looks like my worst fears have been realised. So they have given us 1,813 tickets out of their capacity of 45,522 (including restricted view/severely restricted view tickets!!) we have given them an allocation of 3,231 from our 32,000 capacity. Even the Burnley game showed we could sell additional match tickets when the full away allocation wasn't taken (or given). So well done Lcfc we have 'doffed our caps' to one of the big boys. Or perhaps Liverpool FC just think more of their fans than we do of ours.
