Season Tickets - Family Discount

Recommended Posts

Posted

This is my first post so hope I'm in the right place.

I've had a season ticket for 20 years now. 2 seasons ago the club advertised a 10% discount if you purchased a father and son ticket. Last season we got the discount after some discussions at the ticket office. I've tried emailing the club to see if this discount is available for next season but had no reply but I guess they are really busy at the moment.

Does anyone know if this discount is available for the 2014/15 season?

Sorry if this is a pants topic but I thought I would ask the forum members for help.

They don't have a need to offer it anymore. Can easily sell full allocation of season tickets for next season at full price

Oh dear that's a shame.

I found this from the 2012/13 season ticket literature:

They also imposed a 10 per cent discount on multiple season tickets purchased together by the same family

This saved me around £60 last season

I'm sure I've read (email, twitter etc) that this is still an option for those renewing, just not an option for those buying a new st

Would be worth asking, I will have a look tomorrow to see if I can find info

I haven't seen any mention of the 2 match replacement benefit.

For the seat exchange? No longer offered as the worry is people would swap tickets for the less desirable games for games against the big teams. Fairly sensible really.

will it be replaced by any kind of exchange for those who might miss a game or two? or is it just miss it and tough?

for example i know at liverpool if you have a st and can't make a game the club buy your ticket off you for that match (obviously not at full price, think it's about 65% or something) and that money comes out of the price of your renewal next year. that's a very basic description but that's the head and tail of it.

just wondering cos i don't think i'll be able to make midweek games, i could give my seat to a mate but was just wondering if there's a system in place and couldn't see anything on the website and daren't ring or email to ask because i probably won't get a reply for a week or so.

There is a 2 match relocate offer for people in the family stand for midweek games

If you don't use your child ticket you can relocate and upgrade it twice for free during the season

That's utter bullshit if true. Other people have work in the week. No different to kids being at school.

Got a response from the ticket office:

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Providing you still have an under 18 season ticket and received the discount last season, you will get this again when renewing. This discount is not applicable to new season ticket holders which is why it has not been advertised.

Kind regards,

How much was/ is the family discount? We had it last year but can't remember how much it was?? 10%?? Cheers

The discount is 10% and is taken off when you renew. So mine is £525 + £150 (under 18) £675 less £67.50. Will pay be DD so probably pay £107.50 deposit and £50 per month.

Saving of £67.59 is worth having.
