DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Less money? Huge budget? What evidence is there to support that? If he goes to Southampton he gets one of the best youth set-ups in the country, a group of incredibly talented young players who unlike ours are proven in the Premier League (and he could move three or four on for more than we'd get for our entire squad if he wanted to). Anyone who thinks we're a better job than Southampton right now is kidding themselves. I find myself in full agreement with you on this one. Southampton have a side that already established themselves in the Premiership, while we have to try and do so. Yes, they have a great youth set up there, also.
sylofox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Southampton is a long way from the peak district. I'd be surprised if he went anywhere that wasn't commuting distance from Sheffield, unless its an offer he can't refuse. He seems too attached to the area. Where did he live when he managed them last time then?
Biggus Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Southampton are in melt-down - Pochettino, Lambert, Lallana, Shaw all gone/going. Psychologically the club and fans are are a 'downer'. Why would Nige go there?
Master Fox Posted 30 May 2014 Posted 30 May 2014 Imagine losing Big Nige, Vardy, Drinkwater, and Tony Tony all in one week. Devastating. I think Southampton might go down next season. We're a new super power so this won't happen. Just speaking hypothetically.
