Absolutely no chance. We can offer a far more secure and stable future. Would be mad to leave through choice.

doubt it. probably a step up but gonna be a tricky job to improve their position, whereas it's his squad here and he's doing boss

What go back to a club which previously gave him the elbow? Oh yeh, i'll just leave it there....

Well from their perspective, a manager out of contract, and potentially on the rise, i would be amazed if he wasn`t in their thoughts.

He'd be mad not to go to Southampton if given the chance.

Of course they would, he's just turned around a mid table team to one that has romped the Championship with 102 points on a cheaper budget in the space of a couple of years.

I'm still confident he'll sign though, he has built something fantastic here and will only continue to do that if given time and patience in the top flight.

I just hope the morons who slagged him off and those fans he was speaking about when mentioning 'delusions' haven't pissed him off in the same way the same cretins pissed off O' Neill as well that he would consider other options.

How do work that one out? Why would he leave a club he knows inside out with a huge transfer budget to go to a similar size if not smaller club in the same division with less money and a chance their best players will leave. Not a logical decision.

Less money? Huge budget? What evidence is there to support that?

If he goes to Southampton he gets one of the best youth set-ups in the country, a group of incredibly talented young players who unlike ours are proven in the Premier League (and he could move three or four on for more than we'd get for our entire squad if he wanted to). Anyone who thinks we're a better job than Southampton right now is kidding themselves.

I honestly think it's going to turn into a sideways move. I'm not claiming we're at the level they were at last year, but they're about to drop again IMO. Not go down, but I can see us being in a similar position to them next season. They'll have their squad picked apart and they'll go back to the bottom half.

For that reason I don't think he'll go.

I think in some ways, Pearson's demeanour helps put other clubs off him. Not many can see through the surface when talking about managers of other clubs and I bet if you threw his name at most Southampton fans, they would laugh it off.
