Amin Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Just got back from London. Got to the Mall at 12pm and it was already packed. Managed to get by a guard rail next to the track just over 1km from the finish and after 4 hours of standing around we got 30 seconds of Tour de France action. Brilliant experience though, it was wonderful seeing people hang out of windows, climbing up trees and standing on top of fences just to see a glimpse of the riders.
Bayfox Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Hate to say it but kittel. Spoke really well after todays stage win. Seems a grounded guy. And although I get why, 2 stage wins from 3 but lost 19mins in one day!!!!!!!
Jonezy Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 Goddamnit. I was looking forward to the Froome/Contador clashes in the mountains.....
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 Think he was even money to win at the start of play. Crazy bet to have given what can and often does happen in a tour.
Amin Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 That was a brutal stage. The look on Sagan's face as he crossed the lined summed it up. Nibali has a nice gap now.
IOWFOX Posted 11 July 2014 Posted 11 July 2014 Loads of crashes at the end of a transitional stage. Never know whats gunna happen in this race!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 15 July 2014 Author Posted 15 July 2014 This Tour sucks.... Not if Richie Porte can win it or get on the podium
Jonezy Posted 15 July 2014 Posted 15 July 2014 Not if Richie Porte can win it or get on the podium Actually it might be pretty exciting to watch the fight for the podium now as it is wide open. I do think Nibali is way to strong for the rest, but the fight for 2nd and 3rd place could be interesting with Valverde ande Porte among the favorites for that. But I still think it sucks, that we haven't seen the Cavendish/Kittel sprint battles and not gonna see the Froome/Contador/Nibali mountain battles....
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 15 July 2014 Author Posted 15 July 2014 I have my doubts Contador would of challenged Nibali on the big mountains. He seemed very vulnerable
Jonezy Posted 15 July 2014 Posted 15 July 2014 I have my doubts Contador would of challenged Nibali on the big mountains. He seemed very vulnerable I thought that Contador looked strong actually, but we will never know now.
