And still people defend him, like how people defended Beckford to the death.

Strikes me as utterly unprofessional in his lifestyle and the amount of injuries he has I doubt they are coincidence.

Heard his injury complaints whilst at the club which preventing him from training and/or playing included 13 cases of a sprained foreskin, 23 cases of severe bruising of the scrotum, 104 hangovers and worst of all 7 snapped banjo strings. Wreckless if you ask me

I think the fact that he spends most of the time injured is the reason Pearson wasn't interested in renewing his contract.

I'm sure various people have said that he was well liked with players & staff a like. He was also very good with the youth team players.

he'd fell out with him well before his last injury

In spite of his absurd social media comments, people are being unfair to him regarding his place within the club. After his latest injury, he took up a mentoring role with the U21s as part of his recovery, effectively captaining the team and contributing to their successful season after it became clear he wasn't going to break back into the first team.

My main memory of him, apart from contributing to that awesome win away at Norwich? Well, though the first was in a pre-season game, he does also hold the unfortunate distinction of being the first player to score consecutive own goals in two games since Sinclair's legendary exploits! Though he was kind enough to rectify that with the winner against Wycombe in the cup the week after, leading to joking comments that he was on course to be our top scorer that season. :sweating:

If he can stay injury free, I see no reason why he can't help Huddersfield challenge for a top half finish if the rest of the squad are up to standard. And with all due respect, while Leicester is no Vegas, I can't see him getting up to quite as much mischief off the pitch at the Terriers, unless he really wants to travel to whet his whistle down the road in Manchester or dehty Leeds.

I actually though Hudders was a cracking night out after our game there this season. (certainly better than here) Plenty of mischief to get upto.

To be fair, Beckford was pretty good for us when we took him on loan from you. We just couldn't afford his wages. Leeds & Manchester are pretty easy to get to from Hudds, so the nightlife will be there for him. By the looks of it, that won't be such a great thing!

He still hasn't signed, although we're still in need of a CB so who knows?

Thanks all.

A fully fit, focused and playing regularly Sean has the potential to be your best defender. Some managers( like Pearson) expect players to toe the line off the pitch and in their own time( I.e no piss ups, ect). When you don't, you don't get game time. So when you do, it makes you look worse then you actually are- no one likes to see a not match fit defender thrown in at the deep end.

Other managers feel like a bit of 'socializing ' is a stress reliever and can help. If your manager is the latter, AND gives him game time then you'll be pleased with the acquisition.

So he wasn't crap, Pearson just didn't give him a chance because he 'socialized' a bit.

Come the fvck off it.

Can't believe a lot of what I reading here.

He is bang average tbh the vast majority of the time, a classic Sven signing, overpaid, a bad attitude and not up to the standard that was required. Add to that he can't seem to stay fit, can't stay out of nightclubs and posting on Instagram and you've got the full package of the modern day celebrity 'footballer' who you raraely see on the pitch.

You have no chance of a settled back four if you are relying on him.

Spot on.

He may have been likeable amongst 'the lads' but the reality is he is not likeable at all if you're a football fan. Shite professional, extremely average player.

Oh, and he was crap at Preston as well, despite what some would have us believe.
