What are Huddersfields aspirations this season? I know that are building under Mark Robins but are you seriously looking to challenge top 6. If you are just looking to stay mid table SSL is good enough.

Every year since Dean Hoyle took over as chairman, we've done better than we did the previous season. The aim is to continue that (16th or above!) - even a small improvement is an improvement. Financially we can't compete with clubs that have parachute payments, it seems that we're one of a minority of clubs looking to stick within the FFP rules.

Mid table would be a cracking achievement for a club of our resources.

His physical attributes are terrible for a centreback, he's weak, slow, doesn't jump very well and dreadfully injury prone.

Alright on the ball but definitely not worth the wages he probably wants.

Not sure where the 'good distribution' line has come from. He's pretty poor all round. Will have 5 shit games then 1 good one then be out for 10 weeks and everyone will just remember that one good game.

People seem to think he's a 'lad' but to be honest I think he's your bog standard bellend.

Huddersfield Town fan in peace.

Sean has by all accounts been training with us & is likely to sign. I know he's not exactly a complete unknown, not least with his record at international level - but is there anything about him you can tell us? Strengths, weaknesses. Is he still good enough for a side in lower-mid championship?

Yes but it'll depend on how long he is fit for. He's had injuries during his time with us and has barely played for a year.

I think you could get someone cheaper and more reliable.

he has played top level Internation games for many years so therefore he is more than capable at Chanpionship League Level. IMO was unlucky with the timing of some of his injuries, he was close to becoming a regular in the team As mentioned previously if he can avoid injuries you have a decent player

He hasn't played at the top level, he's played for Ireland and every time he played a decent side he, like the rest of the team, was found wanting.

He's actually a very good defender, but his injuries (and attitude to overcoming them) will let you down.

Don't be surprised to see him on the lash when he's 'recovering' from his latest hamstring tear.

Shame really, because he's someone the players seem to like. The coaching staff? not so much.

Hope you do well. Always liked Huddersfield.

Average defender IMO, struggles with physical strikers (0-3 at home to Millwall where Darius Henderson bagged a hattrick), not particularly quick and has a mistake in him. His distribution is okay but his injuries and the fact that we often had better defenders meant that he's not played much over the last three years.

He seems alright to me, although he clearly enjoys a night or two out. For mid-table Championship he'd be okay but I can see him wanting wages which he doesn't deserve.

He will do very, very well for you if he can stay fit. He's one of the better championship defenders, but it's the injuries you really need to worry about.

lol what?

Nothing against him at all, good lad, and a good player, he was unfortunate to get injured last season, and see his career here end.

I wish him all the best if he joins you, quality championship defender.

Very very average, contrary to others his distribution is also very average, people just think that because your centre half is small it means he's less clumsy with the ball. Had some mysterious injury that I don't really know what it was, then spent his time acting like a big shot on Twitter.

St Ledger would be a good signing for any Championship team.

People will tell you that he's injury prone but really he was rushed back from a long- term problem that ultimately made matters worse. As far as I'm aware, he was a consistent starter before coming to Leicester. Preston fans are best to talk to.

We can all slag him off but really, he never really featured enough for us to give a proper judgement. We always had better players, that doesn't mean to say he was bad. People moaned about Zak Whitbread and yet he still got in a decent Derby side.

One thing is for sure though and that is that he gets on well with his squad. The 'lad' thing is an exaggeration but he's certainly good for team morale.

St Ledger's last game for Leicester was in an important development team game. He thrived upon the responsibility of being the experienced player. He scored a great header and even sprinted half the pitch to prevent a fight in the final minutes.

For St Ledger to play well he needs to know that he's wanted. He's a bit of an all-rounder, versatile defender who would do a decent enough job for Huddersfield

Hi Sean.

hes a good player . he is a bad apple and can ruin the changing room/training ground . that's the reason pearson got rid , nothing to do with ability .

I think the fact that he spends most of the time injured is the reason Pearson wasn't interested in renewing his contract.

I'm sure various people have said that he was well liked with players & staff a like. He was also very good with the youth team players.

If he manages to keep fit and avoid injuries, you'll have a more than capable centre-back at your disposal.

That's a big "if", though.

Still, I wish him well and hope he turns out to be a revelation for the 'Udders. He's nearing the latter stages of his career and would definitely deserve another three to four good years playing football.

He's the sort of defender who'll be most remembered at Leicester City when they toast "absent friends".

If it wasn't for media pictures i wouldn't recognise him.

I remember him gifting a goal to the opposition early on in his time here and there wasn't that much more to remember.

I don't even know what injuries he had cos it was never important enough for me to care.

I don't doubt he has - or had - some talent because his record makes good enough reading in places.

But whether he'll bring his best or worst to your place is anyone's guess.

Suffice to say that, given the choice of signing any centre-back in the Premiership or Football League, he'd be one of the last I'd want.

You'll find a lot of rubbish on here about Sean but he is a decent defender. Good at lots of things spectacular at none but that's the Championship.

Said someone called Bambas Babes who incidentally was good at non but spectacular at being shit.
