To be fair Ryo Miyachi is probably exactly what we need some real guile and flair.

 

I can see Sako blending in nicely, he is a Leicester Esque player that would add some real class to our game and knows what it takes to stay up for a few seasons and get involved in the hustle.

Just been posted on twitter that we've put a bid in for Ryo Miyachi, its been accepted and he's being flown in for a medical..

If the lack of signings is partially down to a hardball approach from chief negotiator Robinson (as has been rumoured) then that might prove to have been a flawed approach as, this close to the end of the transfer window, we've only weakened our own position - imho we'll end up having to pay last minute prices anyway or not strengthening at all.

I'm loathe to criticize the club as they don't get much wrong but it does seem this transfer window has been handled quite poorly. It seems they've been caught out by the extra challenges you face when negotiating as a top flight club.

If it is partly Robinson's responsibility then I respect that he's looking out for his employers but a good negotiator gets the best deal for the own party but still gets the deal done.

 

You don't remember Stoke's transfer dealings when he was in charge then? A fair number of those were last minute deals.

Think Sako would be a quality edition, some real engine about that kid, reminds me of my old Ford Cortina back in 91, really shifted.

Crouchy and Kone has the potential to be a deadly strike force within the Barclays Premier League. Survival in this league is our number one goal, but I truly believe that with these two guys in attack, we could surprise even ourselves and push towards top 10!

Guile and flair? I'm baffled. When has he shown 'guile and flair'? He's had a total of 16 appearances for Bolton and WIgan in the last 3 years and a massive 1 for Arsenal.
