Wenger as certainly over stayed his welcome yeah they won the fa cup fair enough but in recent years they barely get past the first knockout stage in the champions league, they've not really been involved in the title race for a long time, poor record in the league cup, plus in recent years they've been fortunate to finish in the top four. I do think Arsenal can be much stronger force in Europe but not under Wenger. 

 

Changing a manager doesn't always translate in immediate success tho does it just look at Man U.

I feel he's failed to adapt to modern football. He was brilliant in the 90's early 00's but his stubbornness in the market has hampered him for years imo

He practically invented modern football in England.

Wenger was ahead of his of time with his fitness and nutritional regimes but now everybody has caught up he just seems to be a standard manager, generally I think managers are at their best in their 40's and 50's.

I like Wenger. Yes he can seem a bit arrogant, but he's a thoughful guy who at least has the conviction to stick to his philosophy.

 

As others have pointed out, the malaise of current Arsenal fans is partially linked to the high financial commitement expected of them to follow the club.

 

If they were still playing at Highbury, and decided to charge reasonable money for the tickets, I think the mood would be slightly different.
