Arthur Chandler

This is my first time starting atopic so apologies if it's in the wrong section or not in the interest of most.

I have recently developed an unhealthy obsession with Arthur Chandler and am after any videos (I have done the usual youtube search) or memorabilia of the man himself.

I could only find the bellow of city between the war years

I don't even know how to upload the film so a link will have to suffice for now.

Hope you enjoy the film as I did

Sadly I can't help with your search, but thanks for the video. It's interesting to see a true City legend from long ago.

He still remains probably our finest striker ever - certainly the most prolific. Lineker might have gotten close had he stuck around for the greater part of his career at the club, but no one else comes close, Rowley possibly aside.

Him and Arthur Rowley were the 2 players my Grandad used to rave about everytime I talked about football with him. This was at the time when we had Ade Akinbiyi and Trevor Benjamin upfront and he always used to say that Chandler would be turning in his grave seeing those twats wearing the blue shirt.

Great stuff, from great players. Arthur Rowley,Channy (Chandler), Sep Smith, remain legends from that era.

I grew up watching attacking football, which was truly entertaining. Today, I just don't enjoy the style of the game.

Cheers, that was an absolutely fantastic watch.

Some brilliant sporting scenes in there I would love to have been at, the Australians at Aylestone, 12, 000 at Granby Halls to watch a Leicester fighter win a heavyweight title. 47,000 at Filbert Street for an FA Cup tie would be something as well.

That 29' season still haunts doesn't it? What a monkey off the clubs back it would have been to have won that precious league title.

Am I right in thinking he has scored the most goals in the top flight or was that jimmy greaves?

Arthur Rowley, it was.

Rowley is the football league's top scorer, not the top flight.
