Guest Col city fan Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 You just want to see Helen Flanagan in the Wag's seating.... she's up the duff you know... Bloody Hell..her tits will be even bigger!
foxfanazer Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 It's going to be difficult to sign the players we need to stay up. I'm of the opinion we should sign players with the championship in mind. It may seem negative but I think throwing £20m+ at this squad in January could be a massive mistake. Strengthen a few areas that really need it, left back for example and get in some players that will see us in a strong position next season.
Jace Posted 24 December 2014 Posted 24 December 2014 I don't want to see too many signings quality over quantity is what we need a decent Premier League striker and a left back and another centre back would be more than enough for me
Father Ted Posted 25 December 2014 Posted 25 December 2014 I think the next 3 games are massive in terms of making a statement to potential targets who we want to join us. If we can pinch at least 1 win and put ourselves back in the pack then it'll help our cause in getting better quality in. It's a blood bath in January at the best of times but we are so desperate it's not funny. I would not only be looking abroad but look at Fulham, Norwich and Wigan and see what Premier League experience players they still have that could do a job for us. Certainly Wigan will be getting twitchy and will need to sell. Yes, they've got relegation to their name in recent seasons but they also have got out of relegation battles before and we need all the help we can get. Rodagella, Ben Watson, Shaun Maloney, Martin Olsson. All of these could help us. We also need to tap in to the loan market, Scott Sinclair and some other fringe players could make the difference. That bit in bold is vital. If we pick up 4 points from our next two games and pull us closer to the pack, we will have a far better chance of signing players than if we were to lose both games. No player will want to sign a 3 year contract at a club doomed at the bottom of the table. I think our only hope is loan signings. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Scott Sinclair, Gareth McAuley, Bryan Oviedo...

Claridge Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 The problem is, we need quality in quantity. We need both and it was obvious in the summer.
VLC86 Posted 26 December 2014 Posted 26 December 2014 We need both and it was obvious in the summer. I don't agree that it was obvious we needed lots of quality in the summer. Players expected to step up unfortunately haven't simple as that.
