Unabomber Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 The way I see it with cash out is say if you could win £20,000 but you are offered £200, you should think would I bet £200 to win £20,000 if the answer is no then cash out.
Itsthejoeker Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 For the sake of £85, I'd let it run. If the total win would've been around £150, then maybe a cash out would be sensible, but with potential winnings of £45k, surely it makes sense to let it run. Who puts on a 14fold acca, to try and win £85?! Depends what the money is worth to you

E.g - would I put £85 on 10 results staying the same (already winning), 3 draws to become wins, and one team to turn a 1-0 deficit into a win, in 25mins, to win £45k. Probably. However I wouldn't put £85 on a 14fold to win £45k.Edit - When putting an accumulator on online, split the stake in half, and place two seperate bets, giving you the option to cash one out and leave one running. Then you can be sensible and greedy at the same time.
Maybes Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 £15 on a scorecast using a defender. Clearly got too much money. Doubt £2600 would have made much difference to him.
Leeds Fox Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Depends what the money is worth to you Of course it does mate! It's just the lad's obviously just taken the sensible option, and now its all the 'what ifs' and 'if only' stories circulating the forums and Twitter.
Webbo Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 One unlucky punter could have won £1MILLION from a £10 bet if Bolton had beaten Liverpool - and they even turned down a £15,000 cash out option! A punter placed a £10 bet on five results that would have won £1million Four came in, including Manchester City losing to Middlesbrough Saturday's late kick-off between Liverpool and Bolton saw him lose the bet But they still got rewarded with four free bets and an FA Cup final invite http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2925834/One-unlucky-punter-won-1MILLION-10-bet-Bolton-beaten-Liverpool-turned-15-000-cash-option.html
Salieri Posted 25 January 2015 Posted 25 January 2015 I've lost countless bets due to shit decisions, including two or three big accys (to win thousands). Maybe it's highlighted more because it's (sort of) a single, I dunno. No point dwelling on it, like the chap said a few posts up, it's benefited those who went for 2-1 scoreline so the bookies don't necessarily profit from these decisions. If you gamble then you should be used to shit luck, every punter I know thinks they're the unluckiest going (including myself).
