Ric Flair Posted 25 August 2004 Posted 25 August 2004 Shit!! Apparently Williams has broke his toe, this best not be true. I know most of you are already slagging him off, but it's plain to see he's a class player we just need to pass it around more to utilise his talent. I hope this is not true, but it's all over the net.
gagandeep Posted 25 August 2004 Posted 25 August 2004 whats sites is this on? i just checked newsnow and it dont say nothing there.

Cobbo Posted 26 August 2004 Posted 26 August 2004 So he has broke his toe then - ****ing great!! 15270 Not bothered, Nalis and Gudjonsson please. 15309 Any two of those two + Gemmill would do me. If we get a few good results whilst Williams is out hopefully it will show him that he can't just walk into our team and he'll pull his finger out!
Ric Flair Posted 26 August 2004 Author Posted 26 August 2004 How many more ****in times do I have to say that the reason Williams has looked lost out there is because the hoof just keeps bypassing him. It doesn't take much grappling with your brain to work out that Williams isn't that type of player, he is used to playing the passing game. He isn't the sort of player who's going to chase the ball for 90 minutes up and down the pitch irrespective of how high or how far the ball is, look at Izzet he was absent in so many games for us last season because he was being bypassed. Fair enough the midfielders should be making the space for the defence to pass the ball to them, but even if they did that Walker and co would still find a way of hoofing it. Adams needs to get his finger out and change things, because it's not just Williams who's looked lost in midfield. Gudjonsson did, and Nalis would be alot more influential if we could pass the ball to him. Lay off Williams, he is obviously class as he made a poor Forest team look good at the end of last season. We should be ashamed of ourselves that we have reduced a talented 22 year old footballer to a mere bystander. Sort it Adams you tit.

Even if we were bypassing him all the time, it's not an excuse for him to be lazy and not put a tackle in.

He does come across lazy, as do alot of players in football. These sort of players tend to be flair players who are used to the ball being fed to them all the time. Gemmill's a grafter, look at Izzet he had to change his style of play to suit our style when we should of changed the way we played to suit him. Williams might well change or we might change and i'm confident he'll do well for us. But slagging him off and cheering that he's injured isn't the best way to go about things at this early stage of his City career.
Cobbo Posted 26 August 2004 Posted 26 August 2004 How long till he is recovered ? 15322 Break your toe and see how long it takes you to recover

Guest freund Posted 26 August 2004 Posted 26 August 2004 Not you obviously. I thought it was some well known fact that everyone breaks their toes (especially the little one) loads of times a year but never notice because its such a crappy little break.
