Walker - 8

Heath - 6 - Didn't play too badly. Average.

Keown - 6 - Again I thought he was alright.

Dabizas - 7 - Again was very good. Lucky to have him!

Tiatto - 6 - Will be a good performer at left back this season. Vast improvement on Stewart/Wilcox.

Wilcox - 5 - Well, I tried to argue for him all this time, but fine, I give up. He's shit. Lets hope he gets injured soon.

Williams - 4 - Shit once again. He's been rubbish every game this season. I bet in the other threads you're all wanking over him though. Nalis puts him to shame.

Gudjonnson - 4 - Made to look a willy puller by Gemmil. Very poor all round, I hope he improves.

Canero - 5 - Spurned a good chance early doors, and didn't seem that good. Worse than Scowcroft on the right wing. Much prefered him at right back.

Scowcroft - 5 - Useless upfront. Worse than Blake. Looked quite handy on the right wing until he got injured.

Connolly - 5 - Poor. He doesn't link up well with his teammates at all which is fine, if he scored goals. He's missed two absolutely ridiculously easy chances today and hit the post twice, missed a penno last week - we're waiting for goals Conners.

Gemmil - 7 - Was our best player when he game on. Warrents a starting place alongside Nalis probably.

Benjamin - 6 - Won quite a flew flick ons, made us look much more dangerous bizarrely.

Stewart - 6 - Sloppy but looked lively. Marked improvement over Wilcox.

Walker 8 One of the few players to come out of the game with any dignity, with a couple of good saves

Heath 5 Should never have been asked to play at right back, looked rusty.

Dabizas 6 Determined performance but he fouls far too much and it puts us in difficult situations

Keown 7 Very domin ant and unless he was injured should never have been taken off.

Tiatto 8 Our best player, industrious complimented with good ability and distribution

Canero 5 Ineffective and subdued, did not do anything wrong but also nothing good.

Gudjohnsson 4 Can't pass and there is nothing more annoying than 45 yeard shots. Basically he is shit.

Williams 4 did not want the ball, our worst player. You can see he has ability put he sherked responsibility

Wilcox 5 Very average, contributed nothing going forward.

Scowcroft 7 Played well until he injured himself, seems unfair to deduct because he got injured.

Connolly 7 Fed off scraps and worked very hard. Had to do all of the attacking work on his own and was unlucky.

***************subs************

Gemmill 7 One of the few players who actually wanted the ball even if he cant take free kicks.

Benjamin 6 worked hard but hampered by the fact he is shit.

Stewart 4 Lets not get me started.

Walker 7 - Mixed performance, some excellent brave saves but chickened out a couple of times, doesn't command the area, looks bored.

Tiatto 8 - Man of the match looked well up for it with a combination of skill and bite and couple of good runs.

Dabizas 5 - sorry just don't rate the guy, gave away free kicks and distribution was poor, does he think we play a hoof game.

Keown 6 - Adequate performance

Heath 6 - Should never have been started at RB, adequate CB

Canero 6 - OK but obviously lacks match fitness, forced selection due to Makin, but should have played at RB

Wilcox 7 - Contrary to others I thought he made a fair contributionas LM, maybe Tiatto behind him made him look better, certainly replacing him with Stewart was not an improvement

Williams 1 - For wearing LCFC 2 points, minus 1 for bringing disgrace to it with the most inept performance and disgaceful waste of talent, assuming he has some. Nalis deserved the starting spot.

Gudjonsson 4 - Obviously not match fit but does that produce wayward paasing? Gemmil should have started

Connolly 6 - Unlucky not to score, can be greedy but that is true of a lot of good strikers.

Scowcroft 5 - Much harder to win those headers up front, did ok, certainly contributed more carrying an injury than Williams

Benjamin 5 - Sad to think that we were actually gald to see this likable donkey on the pitch.

Stewart 3 - A spell in the reserves needed to remind him that there are players who probably deserve his place, lacks concentration, sloppy passing, poor tackles.

Gemmill 7 - Made Williams look even more pedestrian with a spirited display; one wonders whether a longer contract will alter that.

Nalis- Stiched up completely.

MA 2 - Purely from a sentimental point of view. Wrong Team Selection, Wrong Team Positions, Wrong Tactics, Wrong Substitutions = Wrong Result.

Crowd - Well obvously 8000 people had the right idea when they chose not to give their hard earned money to underserving so called professional footballers.

TEAM - Some might say unlucky with the shots that hit the woodwork, but that disguises the fact that we played like headless chickens, were hustled off the ball by hungrier players who did give a damn and who came for a draw saw we were shite and knew they could leave with the 3 points.

Yours

Disgusted

Did you not go to the game Scowy? Not had your ratings yet. Or is it that you are afraid of winning the 'Andy from Long Eaton' award again? ;) I wouldn't be too afraid, there are some VERY low ratings this week.

Walker - 8/10 - made good saves again, brave as usual, tried to pass it out to the full-backs a few times but seemed to always find it coming straight back to him, was put in trouble by a few back-passes but always managed to clear... compare him to Watford's goalie, 75% of who's kicks went out of play.

Heath - 6/10 - not a RB, please don’t play him there again just to accommodate him into the team, why is it such a crime to have a fit first-team player on the bench when another partnership is working? As he’s not a RB he couldn’t do the things needed like getting forward, linking up with Canero etc. Looked far more comfortable when moved back to CB.... did the basics right but didn’t seem to add onto that, used 'if in doubt put it out' effectively and got in good positions for corners etc.

Keown - 7/10 - held the line well and was constantly giving instructions, won his headers and was generally effective, not sure why he was taken off. Was beaten for pace a few times though, as was...

Dabizas - 7/10 - lucky not to have given away a penalty, still likes to wrestle with players a lot. Beaten for pace a few times but otherwise did his job well, got forward and headed on well but seems suddenly very keen on long hoof balls now.

Tiatto - 9/10 - MOTM - seemed eager to impress and earn his place, won tackles, tricked strikers, was strong in holding up the ball and got forward well. Unlucky not to have scored after a deflection.

Canero - 7/10 - seemed to be forgotten by his fellow players a lot especially in the first half, probably something to do with Scowcroft being elsewhere, and Heath being behind him (so no possibility of linkup play), was in space though and unmarked a lot of the time. When he got the ball he looked quick and keen, put in a few good crosses and adapted well to switching roles quickly when moved to RB.

Gudjonsson - 6/10 - had a good volleyed shot that was going in well saved, got forward and on a few occasions got down the wings to put balls into the box. Tackled well but sometimes scrambled with the ball a bit, always tried to win it if it was taken from him though, but didn’t always succeed.

Williams - 3/10 - do something to impress me please. He seemed unwilling to try and win a ball back once he'd lost it. He was greedy, sometimes taking on three defenders at once rather than passing the ball. He’d get in a good position to take a shot but seemed to become suddenly nervous about touching the ball around the box, and inevitably lost it. Beats the first man with set pieces but often leaves them drifting in the air easily for the goalkeeper to catch.

Wilcox - 5/10 - I would mark him lower but for one moment in the game when all our players were standing around staring into space and he took charge, got the ball and went on a good run through midfield. Otherwise it was business as usual, he put in a few hospital passes, seemed to watch the ball too much when he didn’t have it, therefore losing the player he was supposed to be following, or not watching it enough when he did have it so standing there as the ball bounced to his feet and not noticing when a Watford player got it.

Connolly - 7/10 - hit both posts (should have at least hit the target with the first one), put a few shots wide, got a save out of the 'keeper. Still not convinced when Micky says he’s a more natural goal-scorer than Dickov, but is very obviously lacking confidence at the moment. Was forced out wide a lot and had no-one to pass the ball to in the box, was alone for most of the game and needs Dublin back beside him. Sometimes seems to lack that passion and fails to close down on other players.

Scowcroft - 6/10 - had no shots on goal despite playing as a striker, is relied upon too much by other players and spent most of his time bringing down Walker's kicks. Had a great moment where he fought several players for the ball but otherwise did nothing else until he was injured when he had an excuse.

Subs:

Benjamin - 6/10 - Should have got a penalty but the ref wouldn't made decisions unless he was forced to. Won about 50% of headers going his way which is quite a good percentage for him, managed to flick it down for Connolly a few times and we actually looked more dangerous with him on than without. Put pressure on the goalie for goal-kicks, something Connolly hadn’t been doing. Tracked back and managed a good defensive header, but was - as usual - slow to get back up the pitch. Still managed to fall over nothing again.

Gemmill - 7/10 - made a difference when he came on and should get a contract for the season, won the ball and got forward, used his experience and created more chances than Williams - the creative player!

Stewart - 5/10 - was better than Wilcox down the wing as he has more pace and moves about more, but seemed nervous sometimes and preferred to pass it rather than run at players, still managed a couple of runs though and swapped around with Tiatto effectively.

Some of these scores may seem unfair, seeing as these players might not have been utilised in their best positions, or spent the last 20-30 minutes unable to walk.
