Match Console Link

1. Click the link above. (Alternatively, search Match Console in google). If the link doesn't work straight away, keep going, it doesn't always work.

If you're clever, stop reading here. For the rest of you:

2. Click 'Change Match'.

3. Under 'League One'/'Johnstones Paint Trophy'/'F.A. Cup', find the fixture, and click go.

4. In the bottom left-hand corner, click "listen" under the Leicester City badge.

You're all set.

instead of pressing on the match console link 500 times use this mms://a924.l609521700.c6095.g.lm.akamaistream.net/D/924/6095/319274370/reflector:21700

What's wrong with Listening Live on the BBC Leicester site?

it's copyrighted so it's egg chasers on the bbc site

I think that this should be stickied for ever and ever!

No, please don't sticky it. Whoever owns the licenced rights (I'm sure this method is not exactly legit) to the match commentary will soon find out if it's stickied and then will block the link.

The Radio Leicester reception seems pretty awful at our end, that's for sure.

Cheers the manc. You're a legend

I can run that from VLC on OSX rather than trying to run matchlive from VPC which is the normal route I take

Any techies out there?

I can get into match console fine, get all the text info, teams etc but when I click on the commentary I get no audio. The page SAYS that it is playing but I can hear nothing on either home or away feeds. Try restarting, switching commentaries/games, pretty much everything time and time again but nothing.

Any one know what codec is used to stream the audio? Where can it be found? etc etc. Running Mac OSX 10.11 and Firefox 3.0.3.

All help appreciated!

The other link works fine, I'm listening to the game now. But of course that link is only good for City games, so I'm trying to get match console to work for other games.

In the past I have managed to 'con' Match Console into working with Firefox using a program that tells the site that I am using IE and Vista. This worked fine but since re-formating my hard drive and installing all new software the commentary is missing. Everything else on the Match Console site works fine even telling me which commentary I am listening to.

So either the audio stream is muted or I do not have the right codec, any ideas?

Working fine down here in Cornwall. ;0) :scarf:

What would be really helpful is if you can discover what codec IE (assuming you are using IE) is using to handle the audio stream.

Maybe I can then find a version for Firefox!
