To understand what net zero means, you need.to understand what oil and gas has done for the world, everything you own, from the device you wrote your post on is thanks to oil and gas, it has enabled us to erradicate diseases and live a longer life, it has made the world a smaller place, it has brought us light in the darkness, and we want to end that to go down a path bases on spurious claims tha CO2 is to blame for warming the climate so we must eliminate all CO2 without any idea what it will do to the environment. We are looking to force technology on people and tax people.in the belief it will change the climate. There will be money being made, but it wont be working people that will see it, net zero will only make people poorer Its so ridiculous that the govt wants to buy farm land to install solar panels whilst at the same time spending millions to explore blocking the sun by cloud seeding particles, or capturing CO2 then burying it. The question is, do you trust the man who couldn't eat a bacon sandwich to keep the lights on? Science is never settled, the telling thing about this is we don't hear the alternative views, its all a bit like covid, and its very difficult to get the facts. I happen to think society has a bigger more urgent problem it needs to address, and thats AI, and how it will effect society as a whole.

I have no idea whether you're joking, or off your head, being on here, the latter wouldn't surprise me tbh

We should have been more forward thinking way before 2009, what happened from 97 onwards?
-
Do me a favour, this stems further back than that, try from 1997.

Whats the matter with you and tradesman, did a tradesman charge you too much?
-
Well it's really up to the government, we've been flip flopping around with nuclear reactors for years, if we'd plannned better then energy might be cheaper than it is today
-
I would say a government that shuts down your life via a social credit system if you're not compliant and obediant is totalitarian.
-
China have a totalitarian government with their citizens under a social credit system, do we want to be doing business with a government that runs their country like that? Furthermore what arr their ambitions for the West?

Not really, was a bit tired, didnt know what to expect, i understand i could have been a bit more forthright but nevertheless, they admitted we should have been told -
We are a nads whisker away from blackouts, solar panels are lovely but as someone that has them, they produce sweet at this time of year. Would this new energy infrastructure involve chinese solar panels and windmills?

Was even worse for me. I paid for me and my dad for the top.tier meet and greet. When we had tickets scanned, they hadnt told us what to do, so we wondered into the bar and never got to attend the meet and greet. Didnt find out till it was too late, which was somewhat annoying. We complained and they apologised and said we should have been told -
Energy price cap has gone up twice since labour has been in charge, but millibands net zero spend has come out of general taxation, with GB energy, a project where milliband get billions of pounds that go to fund hair brained schemes such as carbon capture, or research into cloud seeding to block the sun, or giving £11.6bn to overseas for climate action, or to make wealthy labour donors like Dale Vince richer than he already is. Ah Dale Vince, theres another one.

I love your optimism, i however am the opposite, i don't see anything resembling a state pension when i reach 67, the Country is at financial breaking point. 82% of current borrowing is to pay off previous borrowing More than 50% of UK households, now take out more in benefits and public services, than they put in. With rising bills due to net zero, business costs will just continue to rise, taxes will keep going up as business and high tax rate payers move away, and whilst Labour are in, public sector unions know strikes will undoubtadly result in pay rises the Country can barely afford, so longer waiting lists and less appointments. And all this whilst we welcome half the third world to fill the quota for amazon and just eat jobs.

Most people just roll their eyes when racist, bigot and fascist are used these days, its absolute nonsense
-
Try looking back at what milliband was arguing when he trying to become PM, he wanted to out do Osborne when it cake to cuts for the deficit, and was moving to the right when it came to immigration, which had been sought prior to keep wages down but as many of us know, milliband and the labour party are liars, like the £300 off each of our bills, or not increasing taxes on work, infact, i really wanted to nominate the labour party in here but i'd be here all day with the reasons why, and i have to go to work to pay my taxes for all those worthy causes. And another nominee for later, Zac Polanski aka dave, what an idiot. Btw if anyone wants to see what harm milliband and net zero is doing to the Country, look up Kathryn Porter, specifically her interview on triggernometary.

Imagine being such a clown as to think Milligan’s is going to create 400,000 jobs by 2030 😂 https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/07/16/the-400000-jobs-ed-miliband-could-destroy/

only thing i can think of is a big pay rise, but Forest must on the brink of the PSR limits, a quick search on chat gpt, and it states Nuno and Ange sacking could have cost as much as £17-£20m, so have their annual wage expenditure as £90m, so £7m + marcos wages. Eurpopa certainly doesn't pay out massive money unless you win it, their accounts will be very interesting -
