Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
splinterdream replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
if he has indeed got a clause in his contract, i don't know why he doesn't just make an agreement with the club to leave early -
I'd love to know how we make these decisions on managers. What did Cooper say in his impressive PowerPoint presentation? What homework analysis did we do on Ruud to think.he'd be good for the club? Because the PSV fans weren't convinced, his record wasn't brilliant. We need a plan to build a team that can take on the championship, and survive in the prem, we need to know how we're going to achieve that with transfer budgets for next 6 windows with various scenarios, we need player targets, we need opinions for footballing people the club may know, we have ex players and managers who are close to the club, ffs top, use them and stop going with a bunch and a dream
-
All we can hope for is players with a fresh start and fresh manager will step up, they're likely putting in nowhere near full level performances, they've given up this season

He has a squad of players, the majority of which don't care, i think whoever he put out, whatever formation would end in the same result. We needed major investment in January and we didn't get it -

I agree, it is awful, maybe we'll see a different manager before end of the season, and we will see if they can get more out of the squad -

We probably said similar about Sousa, and he went on to have a decent career. -

As i say, I don't understand why he didn't just play attacking players and tell them to go all out attack, but you never know whats gone on behind the scenes, he said he was looking to see progress, in reality, I think he knows he's gone, so maybe doesn't want a major thrashing on his record, so is playing damage limitation -

His decision making has been strange, and i think he might still make it as a manager, and i can't help feeling sorry for him, I'd reckon he's kicking himself for taking us on. We cannot know what's gone on behind the scenes, but if he goes i'd wish him well, i do not understand the hate, i rserve that for some of the players on our books stealing a living. -
Why wouldn't he just set the side up with realistic chance of having a go, give the fans that go something ffs

Will be very interesting, wanted one this season but tbh I'm glad I didn't get one. -
I wanted Carrick in the summer. You never know with managers but Carrick seemed tactically aware, did the double over us last season when many struggled against us, and he didn't do it by parking the bus
-
Let’s say we played Evans and absolutely went for it, maybe snuck a win…..that’d be worse wouldn’t it, like delaying the inevitable? lets remain crap, 5 - 3 - 1 - 1 again please Ruud
-
Let's hope so 🤣

They have got something to show for it though, Championship league brings in huge sums of money, if they secure a place which I'm sure they will, it's clear the fat Greek will continue spending, he doesn't care about PSR that's quite clear
-
Just reading about Forests accounts, £167m net spend on transfers, wages up nearly £100m, can they do.what we failed to do or are they hugely at risk?

I want to get a ST with my Dad. We have applied before without success. I have 65+ points, my dad significantly lower on 50 or so points. If we apply separately and both successful, is it pretty easy to pick 2 seats together, has anyone done it this way? -
To save face and claw back a bit of reputation

fact is if Winks performance on the pitch was more often than not a 10 out of 10, then keep commuting, but he's been dire, and the team is suffering as a whole, he's extremely well paid and should be willing to make sacrifices. Well done RVN, i don't want to see him in Leicester shirt till he changes his attitude
-
it wouldn't have gone that way, players weren't on board with him, it was inevitable that it was going to fall apart, the squad with some exeptions is toxic with many nowhere near good enough, this was always going to happen imo

been trying to find what wage Ruud would be on, he doesn't seem to be on any of the lists -
there has to be some clause when relegation is confirmed that means he's cheaper to get gone, it all looks inevitable, players know it, Ruud knows it. We're circling the plughole waiting, it can't come soon enough. Fair play to the fans going to the away games, even the home games would be a struggle
-
Ruuds picks just dont inspire though, blokes an idiot
-
It really is shameful that players can put in a 50% performance, because that's clearly what's happening here
