  1. We were doggo every game, none of the games we got points did we look the better team, that’s why Cooper got sacked, we lost key players to add to that, the players aren’t stupid, they’ll know they’re doggo, unless you’re Wout Faes.
  2. When you see Youri Tielemens giving his all for Villa, and you remember him in our 22/23 season, overweight, lazy, blowing after 45, but getting picked every game, who do you blame?
  3. Yes I saw all the pre season games, what was weird was when Golding played, I thought he looked decent, some fella on twitter reckons he’s not been turning up to training
  4. Already put myself on a self ban due to ridiculous price rise for individual tickets
  5. Do you think that there's any possibility we can stay up? Genuinely interested to see if anyone thinks we can. This is why I don't blame RVN, whilst i don't think he's the best manager, he was always on to a hiding, we needed players in January and RVN knows it.
  6. One of the things they say in football is you can get the habit of losing, and it's tough to turn it around when confidence is low. So.dont you think RVN had a tougher task than Cooper, and it's not really fair to compare like 4 like, as when RVN took over, the players were already low on confidence.
  7. I don't think he's a brilliant manager, but nevertheless a manager has to set up a certain way and keep drilling the players to that system and hope for the best but sometimes the situation is hopeless. We did the same with Cooper, the players did, we changed style because that's what everyone was calling for and we still lost. We played 3 at the back against Newcastle and still lost, I think RVN had a glimmer of hope after Arsenal, and now he realises there's nothing he can do, only Ruud will know if he's been promised next season, if he wants next season, because you'd think his next move will be to prepare for that
  8. We cannot replace RVN till the end of the season, it's pointless. No manager will want relegation on his CV, not unless they're desperate or deluded they can turn things around with this squad. I'm pretty sure RVN will completely alter his tactics on Thursday, more towards what the fans want, and we'll still get beat.
  9. I've seen this Peter Taylor thing a couple of times now and think it's really unfair. RVN has beem handed a legacy a fundemental errors when creating a squad, and has clearly decided a route physicality, experience and organisation to try and get points rather than youth, Flair and chaos, now many might not agree with his decision but nobody can say if we'd be better off with chaos. Peter Taylor inherited a decent hard working side and dismantled it to bring in lower league players that he though he could coach into world beaters, there's a clear difference. Do I think RVN as out of his depth? Yes, but he was probably promised signings and hasn't had them, and it would take a really special manager to get anything out of these, I remember how dreadful Bournemouth were under Howe the season they went down, there's a limit to what managers can do.
  10. I think he changes it now, I'd be amazed if he stuck with the same 11
  11. Think we'd be top half of table, winning games but inconsistent, but without bilal and facundo it'd be a different situation altogether
  12. If he's still here, I think we deffo see a drastic change in the first 11 and his plan, not sure it'll make any difference though, think any slim chance we have is to get a quick goal then hang on to it, so all out attack from the start, defending (or trying to) is no longer an option.
  13. What's most annoying about this season is we've got ourselves in deeper trouble, we'd have been better off not signing anyone and taking the money
  14. Think RVN is trying to put out so many fires, and isnt coping, i think he went with the approach of trying to play a settled organised side, but it's all fallen apart today badly. I don't want RVN in the championship, but I don't know when is the best time to pull the trigger. Play 3 - 5 - 2 ruud, have some academy players on the bench and give them a go
  15. Bet Sky are pleased they chose this game for the tellybox
  16. At this point, I honestly wouldn't object to us getting in big Nige
  17. He should write this game off, bring 4 players on, change the system for 45 mins and see how it goes. It's a shame we don't have some academy players on the bench
  18. Could that be because flights are so much more expensive now?
  19. No, i think it's so difficult to judge a manager, when he's been dealt the hand ruud has. That was really close against Arsenal, BDCR or Ndidi convert and it might have been different, you can't help but think a couple of additions would have done us the world of good, he's trying to get blood out of a stone.
  20. Just to point out, that looks like 99% or more of the negative comments look to be coming from people not in the UK or not from the UK
  21. Seems I have been locked out commenting on the General news thread, even though I haven't commented on it, I'd be interested to know why if any mods read this.
  22. He could probably get a game for us though
  23. Credit where credit is due, Ayew played well today, there were times though where a lay off central to bilal was on and he passed back, maybe bilal not calling for it
  24. got to say, i don't get it. His hold up play, I'm yet to see it with a lay off, always ends in a back pass, if he turns he loses the ball, he can't take dead balls, he can't press, you could play Soumare in his role and i don't think we'd notice a difference, just seems a waste of a place to me
