Can't be having this revisionism regards Cooper, the bloke was crap. Abdul was a better on the right than Ayew, who was Coopers preferred pick. Sure you're gonna get some numbskull that thought Abdul was crap if he wasn't blazing past his full back every 5 minutes, but he was young and inexperienced, and needed games. Ricardo also should have been ine of the first on the team sheet. There was also the lack of using any subs, when it was clear we could gain advantage with fresh players.

I don't think it's fair to judge iversen against ward when iversen took over a part of the season the team confidence was already shot. Iversen got player of the season for PNE. He's a better shot stopper than Ward, just his kicking let's him down, but for Wolves, Jakub should have played, if not Jakub, it should have been Iversen.

I reckon the latter, we know he gave some to Cooper. I don't think he's shy of speaking his mind, good on him I say. It's a rolled out cliche that players short of confidence hide, and I'd say that certainly the case with some of our players. It was Vardy who was running towards our goal for the Vesty pass, when it really should be one of the midfielders, normally Winks job.

This wouldn't surprise me, I think Jakub could step up though, but we'll do something stupid like buy a keeper and he'll be crap whilst jakub rots in the under 21s with Ward on the bench

I'm not sure about that, Wolves had an Xg of 0.4, lack of Ndidi wasn't the reason we lost to Wolves by 3. Soumare was the standout against Wolves.

Dropping Ricardo as well was idiotic imo, the best player in a championship winning team and pivotal to the way we played, especially after error after error with Justin, but starting Ward when Jakub and Iverson fit against Wolves is probably worse imo

As it stands I think we'll go down, buying in 1 or 2 players won't improve things, we need 4 or 5 first team players at least, we'll have to break PSR for that i think, so we either really splash the cash and deal with points deduction next season or plan for relegation. We messed up in the summer at a time we really needed to be spot on

I wouldn't call it incompetence. That would be suggesting he has the ability but fails to use it. Ward can't help how he's playing, he's either way off the level we're at, or has mental issues with confidence

I think @Ric Flair was spot on when he said Danny Ward is probably the one player we could point to.who is most responsible for our relegation, that being said, it doesnt mean he meant to be that player, whereas Youri Tielemens and Ndidi had the ability, but didn't use it so more deserving of anger for our demise, however Youri is gone, Ndidi had a word with himself, but Danny Ward is still Danny Ward, and should never have been put in our side, the anger should be directed at RVN and anyone else at the club who should have had a word, and Rodgers who has probably destroyed the player for allowing him so many games in 22/23. From all of this for me, it's a very worrying sign about RVN and those around him that this has all happened. As for the fans, if you shouted abuse at any of our players, shame on you, if you boo'd, I get this if it was born out of frustration, you've paid your money, and to see that teamsheet must have been frustrating

I said this in so mamy words when RVN and Cooper joined, we have 16 or so very ordinary players, and it will take a tactical genius to use them to gain an advantage. They'd need to work twice as hard as the opposition, and therefore the subs bench would be well organised to we use it to it's fullest. We'd also need to be very smart in the window, that why I thought it was worth asking Rafa Benitez if he'd work with us, as he has experience and knowledge in all these parts and would probably know more about running a football club than Rudkin.
