  1. Happy St George's Day all you foxestalk Slay Queens
  2. one way to pay the debts I suppose
  3. Can't believe anyone thinks it's a conspiracy when we were 12 points clear in February.
  4. Yeah good point. Also single mums, the unemployed, Eastern Europeans, Transexuals, the Welsh, teachers. Come to think of it most prejudice is Britain is accepted.
  5. Sometimes I think it's the last acceptable prejudice in Britain
  6. and this is unfortunately the best argument in favour of VAR and one that I can't really refute
  7. It's got nothing to do with the 'purity' of the game or some dewy-eyed nostalgia for the way things were. It's people getting sick of games being ruined by absurd decisions like yesterday. When they get it right, great, but at the moment it's shit.
  8. I think people would be fine with VAR for stuff like that. Disallowing goals when the striker is level is what people hate.
  9. That would make even less sense. Still very difficult to call in what order the 3 clubs will finish.
  10. Seen a couple of LCFC fans on social media say if we go 6 points clear tomorrow it's basically over and all I can say is.... lmao
  11. lmao the line goes over the United foot and under to Cov foot
  12. Rebekah?
  13. Also it has to be when the ball is played, and a millisecond difference in when the still image is taken could change the result. With the Chilwell one iirc you could just see the ball moving. Take it a millisecond earlier and he may have been onside. I'm actually quite annoyed about it even though it's Cov. Would have been one of the great moments in FA Cup history. Probably helps I don't know any Cov fans...
  14. The thing about the Chillwell one is that he was right in line with the camera and both he and Soyuncu were basically standing on the 18 yard line, so although it was cm he was clearly off. I think the Cov player was offisde, but I don't think you can be 100% sure with that camera angle and two players standing quite far apart just inside the half.
  15. I think you've partially made my point - we get everything they do because our population and our media is fixated on America. Like the BLM stuff of 2020. So just shove all American politics and social issues on the backpages, bottom of the websites, very last segment of the TV news, and job done. Although to be fair I think the trans obsession is quite home grown. I also don't believe what happens in the US affects us anywhere near as much as people think it does. Irish, French, German elections probably influence life in Britain more than US elections do and get 10% of the coverage. The idea that we are very close socially and politically to the 'Anglosphere' has done real damage to the UK in recent years, and that idea is spread partially because of language but also because of the amount of coverage America gets. So I'm with Alan Partridge, stop talking about American things.
  16. There's only three things that really disgust me: my last pint, what I'm reading right now, and people who put things in the wrong thread
  17. American politics and society. It's 4000 miles away I don't care.
  18. Trans issues. How people care so much about it is beyond me.
  19. Everything is political though.
  20. They're good for kids. I loved them when growing up.
  21. Taylor Swift. Social media football banter. Star Wars.
  22. I don't totally disagree with this. Some of the decisions this year have been scandalous and could affect the league in quite significant ways - Liverpool as much as I hate them might lose the league because of the **** up at Tottenham. Neville and Carragher were not completely wrong today in their post match discussions about it, but I am sure if some similar decisions had gone against United or Liverpool they would be more supportive of clubs taking a stance.
  23. Sorry I misunderstood your post and thought you meant the LCFC vs Cov rivalry had a sectarian element.
  24. Would be interested to hear more about this.
