Nah. He was still crap. Scored hardly any goals and basically just stood upfront, waved his arms, gave away free kicks and knocked the ball on from hoofs (mainly to the opposition). Was damn good in the Cardiff 2nd leg though, il give him that.
-
Steve Howard outside of league one was an absolutely terrible player. Andy King was extremely mediocre ability wise.

If we've not got a new second keeper by the time next season starts I can totally see them enquiring if he's found a new club yet. Which obviously he won't. Cos he's Shite!
-
Don't think he's playing anything like Cooper's side. That was highly defensive and risk averse and whilst it was pretty crap it kept us in games and earned a few draws. RvN is far more like last seasons possession style and whilst that leads to some people saying we look better under him we now are regularly pummeled by pretty much everyone because the players can't play possession football at this level. It's prob not worth sacking cos we're down anyway but he can't still be our manager next season. He's shown nothing worthwhile.
-
Stay or go we will be in the Championship next season but if he stays he needs the boot as soon as the season ends. Hel be far too gone with the players (near all of whom wel be stuck with) and fans by that point to lead our half arsed promotion push next year.
-
Oh Skipps not even close to 20m and he's getting worse with every appearance. However in last years decent spurs side I doubt he was anywhere near as bad. That's where the Andy King comparison comes in. You stick him into the title side or the resurgent great escape side and he looks like a competent pl player. Stick him into the the post title hangover side he becomes a nothing player who eventually looks inferior to amartey.
-
Nah. You pay 20m for post title Andy King and stick him into this sad excuse for a side he'd be getting dogs abuse.

No it's horrible and depressing. Adding our defence passing it between themselves for long periods before inevitably losing it would just add boredom and frustration to the mix.
-
Maybe a few extra points but we'd still be going down. Signings would have been different but would that injury prone italian we were after a year ago and presumably another cb who could pass but not defend make us any better? Also it would be dull as f#@k!
-
First half was drab but we pretty much matched them and didn't look too terrible. Second half though... Jesus! Fulham upped their game ever so slightly and just blew us away. I know it's a cliche and overused but I really don't see where we get another win from as we've played a crap team and a fairly standard team in the past week and lost convincingly to both. Fans seem to have finally turned (2 years to late) at least. RvN can stay or go I really don't care. Itl make no difference. Getting rid of Rudkin is probably the only way optimism can be rekindled in the fanbase right now.

The fact it is both pointless sacking or keeping him pretty much sums up how finished the team and club are.

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
Gubbins replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
I'm currently on my first BG3 playthrough. Once you get your head round the controls it is absolutely spectacular and will def stand up to multiple playthroughs. It is essentially DnD in computer game form so if you've played that then youl have a vague headstart on some of the game mechanics. Can't recommend it enough. -
Comparing this season to 2014/15 Great Escape
Gubbins replied to tickler28's topic in Leicester City Forum
No defence we've had in the past 30 years has been as crap as the current one. I honestly believe that. Relative to the level they're playing it's the worst I've seen. -
King of doom this season as well i believe when Cooper was in charge.
-
Ndidi and vestergaard were both free in the summer and noone came in for them. I don't see a season of constant defeats, crap performances and infrequent appearances raising their stock. Maybe a newly promoted club goes for Winks but again he's hardly looked good this season has he?
-
Andy King without the goal threat and quality teammates to compensate for the nothingness.
-
Nobody and I do mean nobody is going to come in for vestergaard and I don't really see anyone coming in for sideshow or ndidi either. The rest will be loans abroad at best. Hermansen aside we don't have any players who will be obviously sold and I include bek in this. He's hardly playing well enough to guarantee a team coming in for him.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Gubbins replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I said when Cooper was sacked that we'd need to appoint a pretty amazing manager to keep a team with these defenders up. Turns out RvN is not that that manager. It's hard to judge how good he is given our horrific squad but 6 defeats on the bounce doesn't look good and frankly who knows how high that number could reach? Can he survive if it reaches double figures? Can't look past or forgive the fact he decided to forego playing an actual goalkeeper in a relegation 6 pointer either. Ambivalent currently as to whether we keep him for the Championship next season. -
Tonight pretty much shows there is no path to survival. The first half was the best I've seen us play this season and even the second half was better than a lot of this seasons 45s. Overall we were miles better than the wolves catastrophe. Yet we've still lost 2 0 and against a very unimpressive Palace side too. If we can't win in these circumstances then when can we? It's a really depressing situation. Thank God we've already passed Derbys points total cos with the rate we concede we really aren't getting many more.

Did this myself on boxing day. They are near perfection in terms of blockbuster filmmaking, largely cos so much of the film is practical effects although even the cgi largely holds up and Gollum still looks incredible. I will say though that the extendeds back to back is pretty exhausting and I def didn't pay as much attention as usual. Might have 'accidentally' skipped the extended tree beard stuff as well 😄
-
Pat on the back to everyone who booed him then. Shame we didn't do it 2 years ago.
-
I want the best chance of winning a game of football too and a guaranteed way to achieve that is to have Danny Ward out of the sodding team. That i think is what we all want to achieve and If it takes booing him to get the idiot in charge to realise that then so be it. He didn't start getting directly booed en masse until he let the 3rd goal/shot through him and that must have had some positive effect as he actually saved the only other shot he faced!
-
It's a terrible totally uninformed piece. The ONLY impressive thing about his career is that he has made such a huge amount of money from such microscopic talent. And I'd argue the booing maybe did help him as the single shot he faced after he was personally targeted was the only bloody one he saved. Also fails to note that 'played poorly' is literally the only way Ward is capable of playing. Still gotta be nice to the incompetent, multimillionaire, weekend wrecker right?
-
If you were as s£it at your job for as long as Ward you'd probably be sacked for gross misconduct. The guy cannot perform the main job of a goalkeeper which is to make saves. He's absolutely terrible at it. Other terrible gks are often defended with the line 'well hes a good shot stopper...' but you literally cannot say this about Ward its prob the worst part of his game and hes crap at everything else as well!!! This isnt cos hes unpopular or nervous, hes just inherently awful. Christ of the 4 shots he faced yesterday the only one he did save was after the fans turned on him! There is literally no excuse for playing him. Don't wanna play iverson for whatever reason than play the u21 keeper, the u 18, emergency loan... anything , a bloody mammal with a head! Just not him.
