  1. Nobody and I do mean nobody is going to come in for vestergaard and I don't really see anyone coming in for sideshow or ndidi either. The rest will be loans abroad at best. Hermansen aside we don't have any players who will be obviously sold and I include bek in this. He's hardly playing well enough to guarantee a team coming in for him.
  2. I said when Cooper was sacked that we'd need to appoint a pretty amazing manager to keep a team with these defenders up. Turns out RvN is not that that manager. It's hard to judge how good he is given our horrific squad but 6 defeats on the bounce doesn't look good and frankly who knows how high that number could reach? Can he survive if it reaches double figures? Can't look past or forgive the fact he decided to forego playing an actual goalkeeper in a relegation 6 pointer either. Ambivalent currently as to whether we keep him for the Championship next season.
  3. Tonight pretty much shows there is no path to survival. The first half was the best I've seen us play this season and even the second half was better than a lot of this seasons 45s. Overall we were miles better than the wolves catastrophe. Yet we've still lost 2 0 and against a very unimpressive Palace side too. If we can't win in these circumstances then when can we? It's a really depressing situation. Thank God we've already passed Derbys points total cos with the rate we concede we really aren't getting many more.
  4. Did this myself on boxing day. They are near perfection in terms of blockbuster filmmaking, largely cos so much of the film is practical effects although even the cgi largely holds up and Gollum still looks incredible. I will say though that the extendeds back to back is pretty exhausting and I def didn't pay as much attention as usual. Might have 'accidentally' skipped the extended tree beard stuff as well 😄
  5. Pat on the back to everyone who booed him then. Shame we didn't do it 2 years ago.
  6. I want the best chance of winning a game of football too and a guaranteed way to achieve that is to have Danny Ward out of the sodding team. That i think is what we all want to achieve and If it takes booing him to get the idiot in charge to realise that then so be it. He didn't start getting directly booed en masse until he let the 3rd goal/shot through him and that must have had some positive effect as he actually saved the only other shot he faced!
  7. It's a terrible totally uninformed piece. The ONLY impressive thing about his career is that he has made such a huge amount of money from such microscopic talent. And I'd argue the booing maybe did help him as the single shot he faced after he was personally targeted was the only bloody one he saved. Also fails to note that 'played poorly' is literally the only way Ward is capable of playing. Still gotta be nice to the incompetent, multimillionaire, weekend wrecker right?
  8. If you were as s£it at your job for as long as Ward you'd probably be sacked for gross misconduct. The guy cannot perform the main job of a goalkeeper which is to make saves. He's absolutely terrible at it. Other terrible gks are often defended with the line 'well hes a good shot stopper...' but you literally cannot say this about Ward its prob the worst part of his game and hes crap at everything else as well!!! This isnt cos hes unpopular or nervous, hes just inherently awful. Christ of the 4 shots he faced yesterday the only one he did save was after the fans turned on him! There is literally no excuse for playing him. Don't wanna play iverson for whatever reason than play the u21 keeper, the u 18, emergency loan... anything , a bloody mammal with a head! Just not him.
  9. Our defence is terrible but Ward only faced 4 on target shots all game. None of them was amazingly well struck or perfectly placed. He let 3 of them in. None of our other players are as inherently bad as Ward and none are as culpable for relegating us 2 seasons ago. That is why there's a pile on. The lack of booing 2 years ago is partly responsible for him playing as often as he did. We can't let it happen again.
  10. Well you sure as hell don't play Danny Ward. Iverson isn't pl quality but he does have the ability to save shots fired at him. This should make the decision over who to pick out of the two of them fairly simple.
  11. We've at least surpassed that Derby teams points total. Although even that team would have got a result against us yesterday.
  12. It shouldn't make it more difficult to drop him. RvNs job is to win football matches and that will not happen if he picks Ward. If he doesn't realise that then frankly we have appointed a self sabotaging moron as a manager and need to bin him off as well.
  13. It's not about humiliating the useless f@cker. It's simply about communicating to both him and the coaching staff that we do not want him playing for us anymore.
  14. Terribly bad. Our current defence is quite possibly the worst I've ever seen us have. Combined with the abysmal Ward and we were never ever getting a result. Jury already out on RvN as the last two performances have been the worst of the season and frankly there's a good chance that any manager willing to play Ward over any other option is deeply incompetent. It matters little anyway. We really are done as a club. Those that thought all our problems were down to Cooper and would be fixed by getting rid really were kidding themselves. No manager is keeping these losers up.
  15. Was Ricardo that bad? He only played around a half dozen games. My overriding memory of him is that he preferred to punch the ball rather than catch it which was the main reason for his unpopularity. Don't recall a ward like ability to let every other shot in.
  16. I'm not saying he's not within his rights. It's the argument that he or any multi millionaire footballer is doing something like this to secure their families future. They are already loaded beyond belief. It's just greed by this point. Same thing happens when a big 6 club buys a player and doubles their wages. People bang on about how it will secure their families future, you cant turn that down etc but it's already well secure by then. What it does is allow them to buy a new mansion or car a week or two quicker.
  17. I can't stand this arguement. The guy has been earning between 20 and 50k a week for however long he's been with us. He's a bloody multi millionaire so unless he handles money like he handles a football his family should be well taken care of and would remain so even if he had to take a paltry 5k A WEEK on offer elsewhere. Once you reach a certain level of wealth it surely becomes about your desire to actually play the sport.
  18. Almost. We also scraped a few quid profit for Maguire! Think that's it though. Depressing stuff.
  19. For large periods it was incredibly boring though. Watching your defenders and midfielders pass it around your own half endlessly is not fun to watch whether you know it's to draw out the opposition or not. Football did not become the world's most popular sport because of its similarity to chess.
  20. This goes against the new manager bounce theory though, there needs to be a pretty instant impact else it shows that either the manager, the players or both arent good enough. Think sheff utd last season, villa in our title year, derbys 11 point season. If we need to wait a few months for rvn to sort us out in the window or impose his 'identity' then its already to late, especially in the PL. In any case he still has to create a defensive unit out of our current defenders not one of whom is PL quality. So whether we play better or not we are still screwed.
  21. But if Cooper really is as bad as you and many others have said this season and this squad hated and was being made to look bad by his awful management then removing him should have had some sort of positive impact and instead we just looked even worse. Kind of indicates that the problems go beyond one substandard manager and casts doubts on whether a relative rookie will be able to turn it around competing in one of the strongest leagues in the world.
  22. Being an international is hardly a sign of quality nowadays. Ward must have two dozen plus caps for God's sake. Playing Luxembourg and Andorra is probably some of those players level tbh.
  23. This is pretty much the season right here. If we don't get a new manager bounce then we are pretty much dead in the water. At the absolute minimum it has to be a season best performance. With the absolute garbage we have defensively though I can't see it.
  24. Smith gets a rough deal. If he'd been appointed 3/4 games earlier I think he'd have kept us up. You can't have Ranieri below Pearson. Yes it went bad at the end but Pearson had a couple of equally bad spells and one of those was in the Championship and resulted in Deeney day!
  25. A stop motion version of The Deptford Mice trilogy would have made a pretty disturbing watch as a kid!
