  1. Well unless RvN is some Walsh level talent scout, and coulibialy who he won't even play suggests otherwise, id rather spend 5 or 6 m on getting rid of this record settingly bad PE teacher and get in an actual manager. Far more useful than some mediocre player who regardless of ability would be stuck under RvNs pathetic management anyway. You play the cards you're dealt and he literally couldn't have played them any worse.
  2. Let's assume your right (and watching us for the past 5 months tells me you're not) he's hardly much better. He's statistically the worst manager we've ever had and if Martin would relegate us than RvN is gonna only finish a few places above that. Dyou wanna keep a guy who will finish in the Championship bottom 6?
  3. Well if we keep hold of the manager who is objectively worse than Martin what dyou think will happen? And il say again it's not guaranteed we appoint him.
  4. Leaving aside the fact that Martin as bad as he is, is still better than RvN and that its not guaranteed hel be the replacement, this idea that if we cant change our shit board we should stick with the worst manager in our history is clearly mental.
  5. Amazing what a win over the joint worst prem team ever has done to some of you. If Danny Ward managed to stop a mishit, slow moving shot that was heading straight at him you wouldn't decide to offer him a new contract! He is statistically our worst ever manager, has absolutely no rapport with the fans and has shown literally nothing to suggest hel get any better. He's recognised a few of our waster players are twats. Wow. Hardly makes him Clough reborn.
  6. There was absolutely nothing wrong with wanting him and his joyless interpretation of the game gone far as im concerned. Football did not become the worlds biggest sport because of its similarity to chess. Plenty of Chelsea fans aren't exactly glowing about him and would happily see the back of him and his torturous football. Given the 100s of millions Chelseas psr immune squad cost and the general state of the league he's hardly excelling there is he.
  7. Hell just thinking about Ward has enraged me to the point that I'm trying to edit my previous post with the reply button! 😄
  8. I'm actually shocked by this thread. Both in terms of ability, value for money and harm to the club, Danny Ward is hands down and by a country mile not just the worst goalkeeper to ever play for us but the worst goalkeeper to ever play in the top tier of English football. In fact as far as I'm concerned he is the worst player to ever play for us full stop. And given I've seen Junior Lewis play for us that is an incredible feat. And yet people are seriously suggesting other keepers as worse. The idea that Ricardo who as far as I remember was mainly disliked because he punched crosses rather than caught them is worse than a guy who genuinely let's in about 2 out of every 3 on target shots he faces is madness.
  9. It can only be Ward. As terrible as the likes of soumare, vestergaard and faes are no player in the clubs history has done as much damage through their sheer inability to play football as this useless tvvat.
  10. But he's been so godawful even that price should be enough to put people off. Along with whatever ludicrous wage he asks for.
  11. There seems to be a lot of people assuming that this massive abortion of a defender will be off in the summer but I just don't see where this optimism comes from. We couldn't shift him last time and his stock will have fallen even lower since then. I fear we're stuck with him.
  12. I f***ing hate football nowadays, the obscene money, cheating, big club media obsession, slow possesion football which has become the dominant style, the calculated destruction of atmosphere at grounds and various other stuff mentioned in this and other threads. Its killed any love i had for the game I never watch any other team on sky anymore and next to none of the last 2 international tournaments. This has further been compounded by City's complete collapse in standards and crap treatment of fans over the past 4 years. I should have stopped going a few years back when i moved out of Leicester really but kept going out of habit as going to games with my dad is something we've done since Brian Littles time. I basically left the decision up to him and he made his mind up walking back to the car at half time on Monday night. I'm sure wel still go to games now and then as Leicester remain our club and always will be but it's a relief to remove the obligation to go. Definitely intend to check out some non league football see if I can get any love for the game back away from all the monied sanitised crap.
  13. Me and dad had been debating it, neither of us like being forced to go digital, i cant make every game so the 10 swap limit will mean hed have to go on his own a few times, we both increasingly hate the way football as a sport has gone and obviously its been bloody awful last 3 seasons (both thought maresca ball shite and joyless). Counter to that we are both match going fans of 50 and 30 years respectively and its not easy to just give it up. Last night pushed my dad over the edge. Left at half time and neither of us are going to renew. I daresay wel still go occasionally and we've not always been st holders but at the prices they are charging nowadays think it's more likely wel go to watch market harbourough harriers.
  14. He is to management what Danny Ward is to goalkeeping.. At this point he probably replaces Peter Taylor as our worst ever manager and I genuinely didn't think that was possible.
  15. The Ayoade/Mortimer face off in episode 5 of LoL was pure comedy gold. A simple but superb show overall. Hopefully they do a second series although would be hard to beat the line up they had here.
  16. It really isn't. It's from people who actually want to enjoy watching football and who unlike some of the hipsters on here aren't enamoured with marescas dull coma inducing shite.
  17. Watched the first three eps of last one laughing last night. I thought it was hilarious, the faces they were pulling to try and not laugh had me howling. Will def check out some of the other series
  18. Hopefully Maresca gets the boot soon and ends up at some fairly high profile club in a B tier league. It's perhaps the only way someone might buy vestergaard off us.
  19. Butterfly effect is exactly what we're doing. Cooper doesn't play the same tactics or pick the same players so things will be different. Maybe having seen wards uselessness against newcastle and with stolarcyzclk off the treatment table he risks throwing him in against wolves. Wel never know. Now no doubt we still lose the majority of games but I'm not having that we would be as record breakingly bad under cooper as we have been under Van Rooney. He had enough about him to not be statistically one of the worst 10 prem manager ever which is all it needed to be level with wolves.
  20. You absolutely can't guarantee it. Cooper was crap but he is still an actual football manager whilst rvn at this point is more akin to a disgraced PE teacher, statistically the 3rd worst manager in PL history. Now obviously you despise Cooper and have slagged him off all season but is it really beyond the realms of possibility that he would have by hook or by crook gained 4-6 points more than rvn has? Still pretty diabolical but seeing as wolves and Ipswich are so bad we would still be in with a shot of staying up. You can't say that now.
  21. I actually think wel get something out of this just in sheer probability terms. The combined odds of losing 6 in a row and losing 4 times in one season to the same (crap) side must be huge. Having said that it would require us to either score or keep a clean sheet...
  22. I don't think they were. Neither side was particularly good. If we'd played an actual goalkeeper it would most likely have been a draw.
  23. Something something patterns of play, Something something philosophy, Something something 'identity' Something something playing better All b**locks, if he lasts the season statistically he will almost certainly be our worst ever manager. It won't matter a jot but he deserves to be sacked now. Dealt a bad hand yes but he's undeniably a far far worse manager than even Cooper who although he may well have taken us down wouldn't have done so in such a spectacular fashion. It's an overused phrase and people use it on here all the time after 2 or 3 defeats in a row but for the first time I think it's valid, I don't see where the next win comes from. Genuinely don't see us breaching the 20 point barrier at this stage.
  24. Yeah if it was going to outlive the Trump name I don't think de santis would have flopped so hard in the presidential nomination. He certainly won't put much effort into supporting Vance for the next election. There's nothing in it for him and he wont care what happens next. Tbh I think with no election to fight he will spend the majority of the latter half of his term playing Golf.
