  1. So i finished The Boys s5 yesterday having rewatched the whole series from the beginning over the past month or so and Im not getting the criticism at all. Final 2 seasons definitely weaker than the brilliant first 3 but it hardly fell off a cliff. The show was never about big flashy epic spectacle and always about great characters, satire and ott gore and sex jokes and s5 had plenty of all that. Given how easy it is to totally mess up finales for long running shows/books/films I think they did a decent job.
  2. Little was mostly great but I don't think you can put him in our top tier of managers.
  3. I did say he's far from the worse but compare him to our more mid range managers, Little, Adam's, Wallace hell even Sven who didn't even manage a promotion and straddles the line between mid and crap. I'd rather watch any of their sides play football than watch Marescas all out possesion shite. For me he's dead last in our list of not awful managers. Its not really got owt to do with the overall conversation but as you brought it up im not sure his desertion to Chelsea did save our behind, rather it kicked the can down the road into this year's potentially club ending relegation scrap.
  4. Its a personal thing and I fully get that he's not even remotely as bad as most of the names mentioned on this thread but im gonna give a shout out to Maresca. If anything my opinion of him has gone up recently as he managed to get some of the losers playing for us now to win games but his slow mechanical and insanely dull style of football was the absolute pits. It was everything I hate about the modern way of playing and for me gets him included in the atrociusness of the last 5 years. The fact he made winning a f**king league unenjoyable is pretty unique and makes him worthy of an honourable mention.
  5. I will be doing no head wobbling. You seem to think that being described as a cult hero is a bad thing which is just bizarre. If he is a club legend its for being a part of the squad that won the league and i wont argue that. However he was far too anonymous in the majority of his city career appearances to be called a legend for any other reason.
  6. I dunno, he did in a way. That list of achievements should make him one of the greatest ever Leicester players. Vardy and Schmeichel level of legend but hes not is he. Try and come up with a list of games where king was outstanding, or the best player on the pitch and youl struggle like hell. He remains the only player on this forum ever praised and defended for doing 'so much good off the ball work'. He's really more of a cult hero, a long term Kevin Russell , fairly mediocre player who would pop up with memorable or important goals but just happened to do it during a very successful period.
  7. Im normally a firm no when this topic rears its head but we're in such a terrible state and the other options aren't a great deal better so id at least consider it ... Still shouldnt have him back though. As mentioned he's more a builder than a guy who will get instant results, took most of a season and 2 transfer windows to really improve on Svens team, 'he needs his own players' was the constant cry on here and he wont be getting them this time. Furthermore the man who found those players wont be with him and neither of course will Shakespeare and his record as a manager without them is mediocre to say the least. As with most of our possible managerial options League One almost certainly awaits with him in charge.
  8. Been a coach for the entirety of probably the most abysmal calender year in the clubs history. I'd be more inclined to send him packing with cifuentes than put him in overall charge!
  9. Double billed Raiders and Last Crusade the other day. No modern blockbusters really come close. The truck and tank battles in those films are as good as it gets, all practically done with no poxy cgi used. Its a shame that only Tom Cruise is interested in making films that way anymore, its a million times better.
  10. Big time. 'Patterns of play' 'philosophy' 'identity' etc. All meaningless bullshit that you never used to hear and shouldn't have to when discussing 22 blokes kicking a ball around. In these stats lie the truth as to why his football was so horrific though. We didn't concede so few goals cos of top quality defending, it was cos we kept possesion for 60 - 75% of the time. Equally 142 chances and 89 goals over a season sounds impressive but when you kept possession like we did thats an awful lot of the game spent pissing about passing it between your centre backs not going anywhere, the key reason why I and so many others hated his way of playing.
  11. Yep. He's a big part of the reason I rarely go anymore. It was so so joyless. If thats the best way to be successful then count me out.
  12. Im slightly less opposed to it than I usually am when this topic gets brought up however even if the guy was in good health he's not been particularly successful anywhere without Walsh and Shakespeare and itd be no different this time.
  13. If we were docked 9 points tomorrow wed be in the relegation zone and the increased tension and hatred coming from the stands combined with the teams and managements already obvious lack of fight and quality would really put us up against it. However that's not going to happen time wise and wel be ok with a deduction later in the season when we already have most of the points needed to stay up and a few other teams already too far gone to really catch us. I do think its inevitable though that with the few scraps of player player quality gone in the summer and the current leadership in the club that we will see league 1 again before the end of the decade.
  14. Just finished s2 of a rewatch of The Wire. Its over 20 years old now and remains for me the goat. If you've yet to watch it what are you waiting for? Gonna pause it though and check out This City Is Ours on Now. Another David Simon Baltimore cop show from a couple of years back featuring multiple Wire actors. Hopefully itl be be good although I imagine seeing the Marlo actor as a cop might be a bit weird!
  15. The 2nd or 3rd least terrible of the worst Leicester side of the last 50 years. Hardly a great loss.
  16. He's not the worst ever but he was a nothing player, not 1 memorable thing about him. And he led us to the league one title partly because he was crap the season before.
  17. First time watching us this season and I suppose at least my incredibly low expectations were surpassed and there seemed to be effort from the players. Christ though I don't regret ditching my season ticket. The way modern football is played is so f**king boring. It's like a logical computer program tells the teams how to play. Just keep the ball at all costs, if in doubt turn around and start again. Nearly every team does it as well. It's such an unenjoyable slog to watch.

Should absolutely be starting in the strikers position ahead of ayew. Infinitely more pace and workrate whilst losing nothing in the liklihood of goals! Ayew looks much better playing behind him as well. There is also i suppose the vague possibility that regularly starting might rekindle the scoring ability weve managed to knock out of him over the last few years (he absolutely did have it when we first signed him), prob clutching at straws there though.
  19. This is a regular mistake when discussing kalac. His debut was a 3 2 win at West brom, where we absolutely tore them to bits in the first half and eventually went 3 0 up. Whilst Kalac flapped like a pigeon for wbas 2nd the first goal was mainly down to crap defending and a deflection. His 2nd appearance against Bolton at home is the real horror show.
  20. In terms of performances not mentioned Chillwell managed to misplace every pass he attempted for about an hour at home against Palace or maybe Southampton in his final season here was bloody awful. Given how dreadful he is I'm surprised vestergaards not got a mention yet. I remember Kane, not renowned for pace, accelerating away from him in a race with the ball having started 5 yards behind him!
  21. Im sure that's the other way round and that Top convinced Vichai not to sack him.
  22. I'm genuinely shocked they've signed him. He's about the worst goalkeeper/player I've seen in 30 yrs of watching football I mean surely even the most basic scouting should have seen them steer well clear.
  23. I doubt many if any at all Leicester fans have a clue what Mrs Rudkin or Rudkin jr look like so I am somewhat sceptical that they are taking a fearful amount of abuse when out and about.
