  1. Wasn't the question tbf
  2. Sheffield Wednesday don't have Seagrave, or can offer a pay packet probably triple his ages, throw in it's a bigger shop window for himself as well.
  3. Dyche spent £25m on Beto, couldn't get a tune of him and look what's happened there recently.
  4. That's a myth. He's spent big money on players and his record is very patchy. Wieghorst famously but Gibson and Brady are particular stand outs. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sean-dyche/spielertransfers/trainer/15856/station_id//plus/0/sort/datum_hidden.desc
  5. Mike Eccles is possibly the greatest coach in any sport currently
  6. Star & Garter supposed to be open at 12.30pm, closed. End up in some Greene King off the peg for a half Back over the road to Star & Garter opens at 1.10pm, very disappointing but some good beers on show Walk to Cork & Cask, good micro pub in a old corner shop On way back, a big surprise, the Bricklayers Arms, looks crap but instead full of Bromley FC old gear and a real mixture of ales Went for grub and ended up at one of the shadiest places I think I've ever drank at. Craft Metropolis - terrible name but it's hosting a Verdant residence. Great beer but felt like you were gatecrashing someone's party as it was the opening day of the residence. It also meant walking round Loughborough Junction, on the outskirts of Brixton, which was interesting.
  7. Let's not give up on the ambition of it though. Excellent point - yet we are in this bizarre point where you feel giving ourselves more money is counter productive. We are like a gambling addict. It might push the club into cutting the wage bill far more dramatically.
  8. We are at the stage where coming back in 25/26 would do us no favours
  9. I want someone who has the ability to construct a team and has the ability to keep a team up without resorting to signing players from the same pool of complete bleugh. Like Thomas Frank did with Brentford. Rather than settling for a relegation battle every season
  10. Rohl or someone in that profile of a younger manager leaning his trade. The club needs to commit to a medium to long term prospect rather than a quick fix. Dyche is the acrow prop of the stability angle. Ugly but does a job temporarily. We know the difficulties of the leagues and how the PL is an increasing fcking waste of time, so let’s have some fun with and develop our own in the process
  11. His agent has shared a video of him defending at Everton away. He’s already looking for a way out. Hilarious that the agent is used a video where he was part of a back four who let in four
  12. Jimmy Dunne made 3 league appearances for Burnley, Benson made 6 and Mumbongo made 4. Only McNeil made a proper breakthrough.
  13. And the issue is ‘his own player’ are from the old experience line Cooper used. Ashley Young for example one of his signings at Everton. Thats why the conversation of Dyche should stop. He a needs must manager rsther than a strategist. This club needs the latter. Too many quick fix tactics has us here now.
  14. You’ll have to remind me when he did that. Honestly not trying to be dismissive but I can’t think of a single young lad he brought at Everton rsther sticking with Ashley Young and Michael Keane when young prospects were available
  15. Agreed. They will go with Martin on some brain fart idea of possession football
  16. You can’t cite a lack of strategy and long term planning at the club, then back Dyche for the job. We’d be in the same cycle of no alignment. Press the reset now, give someone like Rohl three months to suss this squad out like it’s a pre season. Although I’m 80% certain it will end up Russell Martin
  17. I think there’s more to it than that. Geopolitical even
  18. Saw one do this. Then some lad two rows behind him started to be louder with Rudkin stuff. The horrible bloke gave him some verbals and try to intimidating him. Just before half time, the aggressors goes up to him and realise what a silly plonker he’s been. The aggressor slopes off, doesn’t come back for the rest of the game
  19. Personally I am the other way. I don't mind it when you have semi's or a final because of what's on the line. You start to build the rivalries you often find in American Sports with their best of 7 type formats. Take the 2016 CL final between Real & Atleti, that was built up by them being competitively pitched repeatedly against each other. Atleti winning the league in 13/14 CL 2014 Final CL 14/15 - Played each other in the Quarter-Finals 15/16 La Liga - incredible title race of Barca 91, Real 90, Atleti 88 CL 2016 Final
  20. Just like with European rugby and when they went with the Swiss format, the knockouts on paper look boring because they have so many repeat fixtures (domestically or already within the competition in the group stage)
  21. To be fair, the quote is from the head of YMCA and I would assume they just want to biggest platform for these events. The Trust were asked back in January if they wanted to provide any support. On a wider point, I do wonder at what point the club would lose the cynicism (strongly deserved in most cases) because a takeover etc takes time and the personnel which are involved with these sort of events (largely LCFC In The Community here) are not going to change overnight. Particularly when it comes to community causes because the people who really benefit from this are generally those a lot less fortunate.
  22. It’s a Mercury article and it’s been planned for about six months. Has been ran consecutively for a number of years.
  23. Yep, increasingly likely I might be doing this 😂😂😂
  24. It’s incredibly common with runners at this time of year cos the training programmes have worked you so hard. I did Cambridge Half a couple of years in similar nick. There is a tendency to go off a little quick because you just throw it out there (which I did and it is still my quickest 10 miles). So try to keep something in the tank
  25. Where at out of interest? I’m in London Sunday and often run Wimbledon Common when I do out there. Always a 10k it feels like
