  1. I didn’t dispute either. I’m best mates with a Stoke fan. West Brom have a new owner now and despite their previous ownership, did reasonably well
  2. That's a very good question if you are going outside of the big five. The reason Italy is always so high on my list is because the grounds are clapped out and it indefinitely still has a raw culture to it. The Central European/Eastern European countries are moving to modern stadia but their atmospheres still remain excellent. Somewhere like GKS Katowice closed down this week and along with Odra Opole, they are two of the remaining Soviet era grounds of size in Poland. Given its outside of the 'Western' bubble, Serbia, whilst I haven;t been is still 'behind'. Greece is another but fraught with problems like no away ends, the top sides such as Pana playing in the huge Olympic stadium. You would be better placed if the culture identify is important is to choose of the large cities in Central Europe - say Budapest, Prague, even Vienna. Have a main game in one of the modern studia's as an anchor and then hopefully pull in a couple of more games at the traditional lower league grounds. Prague has Zizkov with its 11am Sunday kick-offs, Vienna has Hone Warte (and a traditional of Friday night games), Budapest has delights such as Csepel and Elore. Then you have the amateur levels of say Belgian which are excellent but you will lose on the atmosphere.
  3. What struck of me of that list is:- Everton - early signs the new owners are better, they were very good on fan relations at Roma and brought the club in the modern world on that. Southampton - poor performances but St Mary's has completely reconfigured to the fans requests with the largest safe standing terrace in the country. Birmingham - now absolutely loving it under new ownership, the owners have pretty much just paid a council bribe to get the new stadium moving along West Brom - new owner has come in, the club has stabilised, one of the reasonably priced clubs in the area. Are they really that bad? They have sort of cruised along like they always have in the top part of the Championship. I don't think there is too much discontent at Stoke with the ownership. They have swapped people around behind the scenes and they employ an outright DoF with Jonathan Walters. That's as good as half. I find Swansea an interesting comparison piece - because I think that's possibly are most likely destiny. They finally employed a DoF in January but the manager is now sacked and the DoF had a good relationship with him from previous workings!
  4. Another on the outskirts but not quite as extreme is Kirby Muxloe FC.
  5. Another option - get the tram and go to Altrincham. You could argue Alty Market was the first food market venue. Decent town.
  6. Very correct but I’d also throw in he’s good for a three month injury every season now
  7. Still think the ownership gets off far too lightly with stuff off the pitch. The bans, the sensitive approach on social media, ticketing policy, ticketing pricing, dodgy sponsor, ever increasing shirt prices, a lack of further coverage on youth teams, the tone deaf messaging at times. Just a quick round up. These are direct attacks on the supporters. The footballing side is extremely annoying but it’s part what effects so us so much more
  8. You’ll be laughing when Daggers is chairman of National League North Leicester City
  9. Which is an another point - we don't operate like a top level club now operates - we are old fashioned in our structure. Left behind even.
  10. One of the best concise points I’ve read about the whole furore is by having no communication, no clear responsibilities outlined is that it’s just allowed rumour and speculation to take over the void.
  11. Don't think I published the Leicester crawl we did Man City at home The Globe Wygston House Salmon The Castle Black Horse Queens Road Tap Clarendon Black Horse Marquis Kings Head Katie O'B Tonne Being a Sunday, the pickings were slim towards the end in town
  12. Yeah, a brush up on the definition of a charge required. formally accuse (someone) of something, especially an offence under law. As said by the admittance of LCFC's solicitor, we breached - the appeal was successful because that breach was defined as not occurring while LCFC were a Premier League club.
  13. Notable that it's like he's playing at a different tempo to the game.
  14. It appears to have been the case in B'ham
  15. Our PSR calculation was £19.5 million over the permitted loss. In LCFC's appointed solicitors own words within the legal document of the appeal hearing So while in this case the Premier League say, and the Commission unfortunately adopted this at paragraph 51 of its decision, that it is impossible to determine the precise date of breach. We say that's wrong. It is not only possible, it is obvious and it is necessary to determine the point of breach. It is how the rules work. The precise date of breach is clearly identifiable under the rules and it is crucial. It is the accounting position at midnight on 30 June 2023, if that is the account ending period. It is that date and time only that is determinative of breach or not.
  16. Back in December, I criticised that Leics Council were going down the rent a Christmas market route At the weekend, I seen Leicester is going to do a lights festival. Oh good, a bit of freshness (although ironically I saw this in Turin over December). I’ve come into work this morning in Birmingham and found Birmingham is doing exactly the same thing. Someone must be going around councils making a fortune by pitching the same circuit of events to them
  17. My most enjoyable run for ages on Sunday. Slow and steady for 1hr 8 mins. All the pace is off for now until late March. Just endurance and distance
  18. 🤣 I have the following on my list this time (staying in south of the city) Canny Man Athletic Arms Blackbird Bennett’s Bar
  19. Braybrooke Taproom opens Friday - looks like 11am till 6pm, supplemented by food vendors
  20. All three with my approval Looking forward to trying a different area of Ediburgh in a months time
  21. 660ish You’d be lucky if we have 1,000 fan group members over the five organisations. I think the answer is somewhere in there. A fanbase largely apathetic (partly why the protest was encouraging was that 700 people were willing to do something) but as we’ve seen there’s no plans on continuing any protests, project reset has checked out, so the apathy continues. I give you a good example. A poster came on here last year to see up a new fan group about the discontent. Fosse Collective. People commented about it being a good idea. The website no longer works and there has not been a single post since the first flurry
  22. What context is the poster after?
