Last two years two key sports presenters in Sue Barker and Gary Lineker both been given the elbow by the BBC, both in their 60's. Noticed good old David Dimbleby now aged 86 still does the coverage for Remembrance Day!... probably cause young ones won't do it.

Viewing figures will drop, like the football focus figures. She ain't popular as the BBC think. Jake Humphrey could make a return to BBC, having quit BT two years ago. Not a big fan, but not impossible he'll return.

Never won anything as manager, whilst Cooper did. -
Isnt he older than Lineker?
-
Been confirmed lineker will make a return the bbc for the 2026 world cup coverage.
-
Id be surprised if the poppies sell out for a midweek at telford. But i reckon youd take a fair few 300?
-
She earns millions at Sky so doubt BBC will match that. She only does bbc show for them part time.
-
Alex Scott will kill it, really poor host. Gabby Logan far more experienced, Mark Chapman I would say more the suitable choice. Going to miss Gary's coverage at major tournaments.
-
Been forced out, I think Gary has just had enough of the speculation. But huge chance for Sky Sports to get a decent presenter in, to present their main games.
-
Struggling money wise I think, no shirt sponsor or stadium sponsorship is costing the club potential funds. Still attract decent crowds... so you think they'd attract decent income from that.
-
Difficult to say, as you say he was only here just over two weeks.

" Hes one for the future " what happened to them !

Tommy Wright of Kirby Muxloe, played a lot of games in the EFL and non league and a bit of spell in management is now out of football and got into the police force. -
He was linked before in the summer, then took the role at United. Not impossible be quite ironic if Cooper was sacked and is replaced by the manager who got him the sack.
-
Interesting though even though he's been poor as manager, he's not the worst Leicester manager yet... Sousa I think still holds that.
-
Only reason Cooper is still in the job, is simply because we are not in the bottom three. If we had slipped into the bottom three, then he may have gone tomorrow. He is clinging onto his job for sure, Ayew certainly bought him some time with that equaliser at Ipswich last week. Of course it shouldn't based on us not being in the bottom three, the reason we're not in there is because the clubs below us are crap... though most of them got some good results over the weekend.

That's were I sit with him, he's manager that's got a lot of hype for little reason. Maybe you could appreciate his time at Brighton, turning from a struggling relegation to regular top ten finishes with a modest budget. What doesn't help is that Di Zerbi went in there and took to a new level of pushing for european football qualifiying for europa league. Same for Swansea, year after he left Cooper went in there and got them to a play off final. Maybe he's good at building and developing clubs. Chelsea was wrong because, they didn't need building they needed to main their champions league status and target the league title. Challenge too hard for Potter, plus dealing with world class players there ego's.
-
Ten years ago we'd have been shouting for the return of MON.
-
Potter has unhealthy record of being appointed Chelsea manager mid season and be sacked within the season. Taking them from like 5th to 13th. I get he had a little say over the transfers they were being made by the club, but the squad they had shouldn't have sitting in the bottom half of the premier league.
-
Could have been due to holding out hope for the England job. Which of course as gone now and wasn't considered, so maybe considering back on the market for anything.
-
Take him over Moyes but his record his not that exciting, never won anything really whilst Cooper can say he achieved promotion. I know you may remind me that Potter won the Swedish league, but it's completely different level to the English league.

The 90's and early 00's was the best part of that, espically when Warnock was in charge of Sheffield United. -
He retired after the World Cup, despite Southgate asking him to stay on.
-
But we know how stupid Rudkin is get rid of one manager and replace him with someone worse. Time for a ambitious appointment, some who we can say we mean business. Vardy I think we know would want out asap if Southgate was appointed especially with his experience of him with England.
-
Just have this vision of Southgate walking though the door of the KP
-
Moyes is a dinosaur, for me sidewards appointment.
