Boro win 7-1 at Lutterworth Athletic, 345 in attendance no guessing where most fans were from as last home game, Lutterworth only attracted 45.

Maybe explains why uncle Arry was so bitter Moyes ๐ซฃ Benitez Klinsmann Low Klopp ๐ฏ bet he was first choice but declined Pardew ๐คจ based that hes worked abroad Steve Holland -

Done okay at Newcastle certainly overachieved their, Bournemouth was some huge project and im not sure youll find managers that ive guided a team league 2 to the Premier league. But for me he needs to win a domestic cup to prove himself in a knockout competition. Press love him as hes a southerner. No doubt a northern coach would get less the hype. Look back at Steve McClaren and Big Sam the press hated both from day one. -

To be fair Sven when through the same, when he was appointed wasn't until we hammered Germany 5-1 when suddenly he went from zero to hero. -

Compare it to Capello was manager for four years yet when he left the job he could barely speak two English sentences. No wonder he failed. -

I'm sure Germany would happily hire an Englishman if meant winning the world cup, people need to get a grip. Ironic that Harry Redknapp said the England job should be Englishman, yet many years ago he held talks to become manager of Ukraine and admitted he did fancy it at one point, but changed his mind due to the travelling. -

The same people making comments about Tuchel shouldn't manage England cause he's Germany are probably the same people who criticised the Bulgarian's for being racist. Hypocrites at end of the day. Best man for the job no matter who nationality, go prove them wrong Tuchel. My question would be, would you rather hire an Englishman and win nothing or hire a German and win the world cup? -

I so want Tuchel to do well now, just shut the doubters up.... part the reason why English coaches fail is most don't want to adapt or change. Too stubborn on tactics, we need more English coaches coaching abroad. Too many seem to just want to stay managing in England only. Get out their, do what someone like Dean Smith is doing get yourself to the States coach in a new league. -

So would Gary Neville sack Sarina Weigmann despite winning the euros and guiding the lionesses to a world cup final for being not English? Neville is a failure crap coach and was dreadful at international level as a player. So in that guess does that mean the next man United boss must be English... go get Southgate then ๐ -

Potter failed at Chelsea and that was test to see cope with higher class players. Took Chelsea from 4th in Premier league to 11th Howe yeah done more than to earn a shout. But not won a domestic yet, something realistically you need achieve before getting the top job. -

Daily Mail What a load of bull, nearly eight years of Southgate and they moan about getting a manager that's won Bundesliga, french league and the champions league. -

The fa cant really appoint an Englishman... simply reason no one good enough at present. -
Ipswich away last season was a 7.45pm on a boxing day, tv companies certainly do like to put us Leicester fans through it.
-
Just the man for the job
-
They changed it in recent years, where can you select the game you watch bit like SKY with the EFL. I think they select around eight 8 matches all at the selected certain times. Of course the Friday night they'll be two, one on BBC One... I expect that to be Sutton Utd v Birmingham City and the other one... I think will be Notts County v Alfreton Town, especially with Forest at home on the second, probably be like the red button option.
-
Alfreton Town might be hoping for a banana skin at Notts County. There record in the fa cup against non league opposition aint great especially weirdly at home. Coalville Town and Kettering Town had some success their.

8pm on boxing day great...

Tuchel yeah decent appointment. Miles better than the likes of Potter and Howe. You cant turn down someone whose won the champions league. Pep would have been that dream appointment, but just bad timing. -
Fergie sacked!! Well so the press claim. Hes set to leave his role as club ambassador at Man U. Never should have remained after he retired, every manager hes felt his shadow hoovering over them since he retired.
-
Cracking tie for Kettering, they must be thrilled with that. Though stinker of a tie for Harborough.
-
Harborough v kettering... ooh would be tasty

Be the first time really we got an manager at their peak, Capello was a top coach but was latter part of his management career. Since he was sacked by Chelsea, they never been the same club, if I remember when he walked in their, they were 7th in the premier league and in poor form in February by May they were champions of europe, capable of lifting players. The only dip was his time at Bayern Munich. -
Credit to Harborough, hope they get a decent home tie to a huge football league side... maybe Birmingham, Bolton or Wrexham would do them nicely. Tight affair at Heather St Johns, where finished 1-1 between Heather and the Boro. Attendance was 426, which was new record for Heather i understand 280 estimated from the Boro. Nice ground Heather, but the village with all due respect very bleak.
-
Would the FA dare appoint a Scot in charge of England. I know back in the 90's the Fa tried to get Fergie, who quoted "politely declined the offer" It would just be like the FA to appoint someone like a David Moyes.
-
Plymouth was very good, match for us was disappointing but the green army faithful played their part for sure. The foxes fans seem to still enjoy their trip, their was still a lot round the day after, in fact i remember the huge gathering of foxes fans in the pub watching blackburn beat leeds. The atmosphere in the pub that afternoon.
