Leicester 1- 1 Tottenham Post Match Thread

That first period look like a team lacking in a decent pre-season. Weirdly the game in moments felt like a friendly tor Leicester, certain players who we aint seen in a long time getting minutes on the pitch. -

First half was so flat from Leicester, making too easy for Spuds. We looked so disorganised and clueless. Second half it was improved our defence got settled and we created a fair few chances and got rewarded. Every now and then you seen some glimpses of the old Leicester. Decent start for Cooper. -
Some footballers think they have entitlement to be first name on the team sheet and act hard done by. Players need to earn their place, Sterling as terrible over the last year. Move to Chelsea move been a disaster. Releasing statements is pathetic, accept you need to do better. If its not happening then go to the manager privately and say you may need more game if not here then a loan move and don't be so fussy where you go next.

I don't think we will do badly tomorrow, I think we will create a fair few chances but I sadly think Tottenham may just edge it with a 0-1 defeat. -

Just 1,056 at Notts County match today, that could be the lowest attendance for Notts County match in the efl. Dissapointing attendance that. Unless bbc got it wrong. -
Boring Boring Enzo, Chelsea fans dont sound convinced 40 minutes in.
-
Whose everyone local non league club and do you follow them? Just curious as i know someone in Barwell massive foxes fan. Who lives two minutes from Barwell ground yet states hes never been in his life to a Barwell game and never got interest to attend or follow them.

Well according to match report Boro were up to for most of that game, just gave away two sloppy goals. Ingles for me have been toughest so far we have faced, but Tuesday will be toughest challenge, win that and can really start to build a gap at the top.

Don't think Luton would be too disappointed with that, considering they were playing in the conference a few years ago. -

Boro were 0-2 down at half time to Shepshed Ingles, totally pathetic first half from us. Struggled to put a pass together and didn't record a single shot on target. Missing two key players today Liam Daly and Louis Baker, unavailable apparently? no reason just "unavailable". Interesting the back of the seating stand at Beduff, is the public loos and whilst walking up you could hear the Boro gaffer giving them a proper hairdryer treatment. Couldn't hear what he was saying but basically it was the mike bassett 0-2 to mexico rant... but it worked, second half better the two changes really drove Boro forward. 2-2 Within a space of short minutes. Boro snatched it later after a scramble in the box. Ingles toughest test I've seen, they looked worked and drilled. They done their homework well, I think a poor start to the second half cost them something out of the game. 3-2 back top, with a tough test Heather St Johns next, who have had decent start themselves. Unbeaten like Boro, but only conceded two. Attendance: 438, again another good turnout at this level.

Worst season in the clubs history incoming.
Leicesterpool replied to Allenho11's topic in Leicester City Forum
Think the term worse season is a stupid comment when the season hasn't even started. 2002 season was the foxes worse and not sure anything could get anything worse than that. -
Good luck to the knitters, over due a decent cup run under the new carnation.

I dont see us getting worse points tally think Derby will always have that but making 25 points will be a huge battle -
I do think it Wrexham arent in the play offs or challenging Parkinson will be going. I somehow dont think back to back promotion will mean nothing to these guys. Especially if they can attract a higher profile name.

That is true... Rodgers certainly a lot to answer for, but again Top never should have signed those cheques and Rudkin should have going out and their recruiting better players. Chasing the champions league dream, can be a dangerous game, if not played right could be damaging for a club especially if you dont make it. Same happened to Aston Villa i think with Randy Lerner under MON they spent over 100million back then to get into the top four. Only to finish sixth three times. What happened later, club got themselves into a right mess and then got relegated. Portsmouth too.. though there decline happen much quicker. Cant forget to include Everton aswell, Leeds way back also.

Between 2010 and 2021 Leicester were like best run club in the country. In space of three years now were the weakest run. Covid deffo hit Top hard.
-
Two relegations though... Plus remember in his time as manager hes appointed the likes of McClaren and Bruce. In fact he let Rafa go to replace him with Steve Bruce 🙄
-
Could be Hollywood bought seeing the reaction from ryan reynolds etc plus some other Hollywood celeb has invested into a conference club.
-
Worst case Mike Ashley

Dont believe hes lost interest more hes probably struggling to finance the club hes probably desperate for new investors.

Efl cup round 2 draw - weds 14 aug - 10pm
Leicesterpool replied to grobyfox1990's topic in Leicester City Forum
Found ironic, when there talking about the balls to look out for north section she choose to mention Barrow... of course lowest ranked club... and for the biggest club... Wolves! So winning the Premier League and Fa Cup winners most recently doesn't make you a big club. -

No mention of it being repeat of the 2000 league cup final, last at Old Wembley? That comment she made "Can Tranmere beat Leicester"
